I will never give up. I will never surrender. I will not go quietly.
16, Exaltation is gained through the new and everlasting covenant; 714, The terms and conditions of that covenant are set forth; 1520, Celestial marriage and a continuation of the family unit enable men to become gods; 2125, The strait and narrow way leads to eternal lives; 2627, The law is given relative to blasphemy against the Holy Ghost; 2839, Promises of eternal increase and exaltation are made to prophets and Saints in all ages; 4047, Joseph Smith is given the power to bind and seal on earth and in heaven; 4850, The Lord seals upon him his exaltation; 5157, Emma Smith is counseled to be faithful and true; 5866, Laws governing the plurality of wives are set forth.
16Therefore, when they are out of the world they neither marry nor are given in amarriage; but are appointed angels in bheaven, which angels are ministering cservants, to minister for those who are worthy of a far more, and an exceeding, and an eternal weight of glory.
17For these angels did not abide my law; therefore, they cannot be enlarged, but remain separately and singly, without exaltation, in their saved condition, to all eternity; and from henceforth are not gods, but are aangels of God forever and ever.
18And again, verily I say unto you, if a man marry a wife, and make a covenant with her for time and for all eternity, if that acovenant is not by me or by my word, which is my law, and is not sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise, through him whom I have anointed and appointed unto this power, then it is not valid neither of force when they are out of the world, because they are not joined by me, saith the Lord, neither by my word; when they are out of the world it cannot be received there, because the angels and the gods are appointed there, by whom they cannot pass; they cannot, therefore, inherit my glory; for my house is a house of order, saith the Lord God.
19And again, verily I say unto you, if a man amarry a wife by my word, which is my law, and by the new and beverlasting covenant, and it is csealed unto them by the Holy Spirit of dpromise, by him who is anointed, unto whom I have appointed this power and the ekeys of this priesthood; and it shall be said unto themYe shall come forth in the first resurrection; and if it be after the first resurrection, in the next resurrection; and shall inherit fthrones, kingdoms, principalities, and powers, dominions, all heights and depthsthen shall it be written in the Lambs gBook of Life, that he shall commit no hmurder whereby to shed innocent iblood, and if ye abide in my covenant, and commit no murder whereby to shed innocent blood, it shall be done unto them in all things whatsoever my servant hath put upon them, in time, and through all eternity; and shall be of full force when they are out of the world; and they shall pass by the angels, and the gods, which are set there, to their jexaltation and glory in all things, as hath been sealed upon their heads, which glory shall be a fulness and a continuation of the kseeds forever and ever.
20 Then shall they be gods, because they have no end; therefore shall they be from aeverlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then shall they be bgods, because they have call power, and the angels are subject unto them.
21Verily, verily, I say unto you, except ye abide my alaw ye cannot attain to this glory.
22For astrait is the gate, and narrow the bway that leadeth unto the exaltation and continuation of the clives, and few there be that find it, because ye receive me not in the world neither do ye know me.
23But if ye receive me in the world, then shall ye know me, and shall receive your exaltation; that awhere I am ye shall be also.
24This is aeternal livesto bknow the only wise and true God, and Jesus Christ, whom he hath csent. I am he. Receive ye, therefore, my law.
25aBroad is the gate, and wide the way that leadeth to the bdeaths; and many there are that go in thereat, because they creceive me not, neither do they abide in my law.
Thank you very much, Bikkuri!! Great job!!
Love it! Tell it like it is!
B..Bb...Bbbbut if we don’t vote for Mittens we’re all gonna die!!!
The Constitution doesn't say much as what we as citizens can do to support our military, but it does give us one primary responsibility; choosing the Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces. There is no 'none of the above' with this choice, someone will lead our troops. This is the primary Constitutional role of the President.
Now, if you are going to dismiss Newt over a stupid 'moon' comment or a comment on activist judges that probably was a little knee jerk, that is your choice. You should, however, try to explain the dereliction of your duty to provide our troops with a Commander in Chief who won't stab them in the back. Newt is the best option for that responsibility at this stage of the game.
...and I will repeat myself. 'None of the above' is a dereliction of duty for the one responsibility the Constitution gives the Citizens to our troops. Especially when it leaves them with Obama as Commander in Chief with no future elections to restrain him.
No prob.. and anytime ;)
Well, I was a Cain supporter, and I would vote for Newt 100 times out of 100 between Newt and Mitt. I posted that list because Newt has his flaws as well, regardless of the scale they might be on. I believe Newt is a conservative. I believe Romney wants to be elected. He says the right things (most of the time) but his record said otherwise. I saw another page refer to Romney’s gubernatorial record as “mostly conservative,” which I think is a joke. As I said in a post above, the only thing Romney ever said that I honestly believed was that he hated the Yankees. Everything else he says sounds opportunistic to me.
Like many others (yourself included), I took an oath. Is Romney an enemy? Socially, absolutely, but he’s not an enemy of the country. I do not take Romney at his words, whatever they might be, when it comes to social issues. I have heard people who have converted and understood the evil of abortion, and I don’t believe Romney’s one of them. I do believe, however, that Romney would be much better economically. I do believe that Romney would not populate his administration with Communists and Communist sympathizers. I do believe that he would not sell out our country to the Russians nor would he sell out our allies in Israel. I have no idea what he would do about judges, but if he were elected I hope and pray we could turn Harriet Myers into Samuel Alito again.
I guess what I’m saying is that there are some issues - and very important issues at that - that Romney is clearly head and shoulders above Obama on. Yes, Newt is head and shoulders above Obama on damn near all of them, but barring a miracle he isn’t going to be the nominee. It pisses me off that my primary came and went with no chance for me to vote for Newt or Santorum, but neither was on the ballot. I wasn’t going to vote for Romney or Paul either. That’s life. I’d like a desk job with working A/C, but I’m on a base next to a sewage treatment facility.
Romney buys us time. I also have to believe that he’s smart enough to realize that governing left would be political suicide. Obama doesn’t even care. I need to fight the enemy that’s inside the house before I fight the enemy at the gates.
Nearly identical except Romney is more liberal than even Obama. People want to vote for Romney they should take a look at New York city which is now literally run under Despotism. Mike Bloomberg ran as a Republican and once he won, the mask came off and with it the constitution, individual freedom and individual property. All of it in the trash. The citizen of New york city has absolutely no rights to anything and at any time the Despot can do anything to destroy you. And he has declared himself Despot for life being that he threw term limits out the window.
Romney's God is as phoney as they come....just one of the many cults and false religions who 'counterfeit' Christianity with an imposter Christ.
..... But what makes Romney different then other elected officials running is his high position within the hierarchy of that corporation/church, and they have an independent political agenda all their own for this nation.
It's pretty darn revealing that within the LDS membership Romneys are often referred to as "Royality" among the leadership. That should give anyone pause!
Obama doesn't appear to me to be Christian...or he wouldn't be doing to this country what he's doing concerning the Christian faith he claims......and his Muslim connections are pretty clear...but I figure he has no faith other than himself ..he just uses religious jargon to attract the audiance he is in at the moment.
Romney , however, is absolutely devoted 100% to the LDS agenda....and you can bet the membership and the leadership are pulling strings across the nation and in every area of influence where "their" people hold such positions....not to mention the steady flow of revenue from the membership and leadership.
In politics the middle way is none at all. John Adams
I cannot, in good conscience, put up a similar list for Williard.
I fear for our country if Pres_ _ent (I'll give him an ID when he gives me one) Obama gets another four years, but I WILL NOT vote for Williard.
As I said in my post from four years ago, I truly believe that it will take decades, and possibly another CW, to reverse the things, terrible things, that the communist in the white house will do in the next four years.
Huh? What the heck does "Latter-Day Saints" have to do with global warming? That would be me saying "You eat at McDonald's? You must be a Baptist". Talk about bizarroland.
For the record: I'm a Catholic, I have NOT endorsed Mitt Romney, and now only haven't I endorsed him but I was vocally AGAINST him on FR when a bunch of conservatives were falling over themselves to endorse him after Fred Thompson dropped out in 2008.
>> He does not support global warming and we can post the video for you, again, if it would help. <<
I can post a video showing he does believe in global warming and says it's a urgent problem. So you have a video that shows the opposite, how would that help? There are videos of Mitt Romney where he says he's pro-abortion and videos where he says he's pro-life. You guys choose to believe the older videos where he says he's pro-abortion and list that as his current "position", yet you balk when your OWN standards are applied to Newt! Apparently Newt Gingrich has likewise been on both sides of the global warming debate, but you have no problem when he flip-flops:
Newt Gingrich "The Evidence is Sufficient" on Global Warming
>> He has stated flatly on FOX roundtable that he was wrong on the mandate approach <<
Again, this differs from Romney how? I liked the mandate back then, but now I think's an awful idea! Please.
>> You see, posting your lies tells us that you don't see anything wrong with lying <<
How am I lying? If you think global warming in a lie, take it up with Newt. He's the one promoting it, not me. Unless you're going to claim the guy in the video blathering on about global warming isn't really him. I suppose a person who looked like him just cut those ads with Nancy Pelosi too?
>> for your religion candidate, <<
Both Newt and Rick Santorum are Catholic, as I am. Again, what the heck are you talking about? Did you do some serious drugs before posting that makes you believe I'm somehow a Mormon when I never even mentioned Mitt OR his religion?
>> so posting links to the videos won't change the mind of a lair for rominy: <<
I don't know who "rominy" is, but if you mean Mitt Romney, I'm consistently OPPOSED him for the Republican nomination and have posts on FR to prove it. So apparently the only "liar" is you.
By the way, I understand Newt was in congress for something like three decades and had something over a 90% life-long conservative rating, finishing with a 98% rating in his last year.
I don’t know if the American Conservative Union rated Romney’s 4 years as governor, but if they did, I’m betting it’s somewhere close to zero.
Please post your list of Romney’s conservative accomplishments while governor. Just curious.
There is some sort of reasoning aberration that is surfaced by this election. However, it may not be so damaging if these “principled” conservative voters at least will vote Repub/Conservative for the candidates other than for P/VP. We may still have a chance to take Congress, and hopefully in numbers that enable an override of Odumbo’s veto.
Jim Robinson ping!
