Trayvon Martin Lawyer Warns Prosecutor of 'Pandemonium' if Zimmerman Not Charged

In comments that can be seen as an effort to intimidate Florida's special state prosecutor Angela Corey with nationwide race riots, Benjamin Crump, an attorney for the family of slain 17 year-old black Floridian Trayvon Martin warned of "pandemonium" around America and the world should Corey decide to not prosecute admitted Martin killer George Zimmerman, who has claimed self-defense. Crump issued the dire warning in an interview with BBC5.

In a case that has inflamed racial tensions across the United States and drawn global attention, the unarmed Martin was shot to death by Zimmerman on February 26 as he walked in a gated community in Sanford, Florida, where Martin was staying with his father at the home of his father's fiance. Minutes before the shooting, Zimmerman had called police to report a suspicious man in his community where he served as a neighborhood watch volunteer.

Sanford police briefly detained, but did not charge Zimmerman in the shooting. The 5'9", 28 year-old Zimmerman has claimed self-defense, saying Martin had attacked him and he feared for his well-being as the 6'3" Martin pounded his head on the ground after knocking him off his feet with a sucker punch.

Crump was speaking to the BBC after the special Florida state prosecutor Angela Corey announced on Monday that she would not empanel a grand jury in the case and would decide on her own whether to prosecute Zimmerman.

Crump expressed confidence that Corey would eventually charge Zimmerman, but when queried by the BBC that Corey could indeed choose to not prosecute Zimmerman, Crump said,"She could, yeah she could. And I think if she did that (decided to not prosecute Zimmerman)it would be pandemonium. There would be outrage all over America and all over the world."

Crump has waged a successful public relations campaign to bring public pressure on authorities to investigate the shooting of Martin. Because Zimmerman was characterized in the media as a 'white Hispanic' and Martin was black, the case has been played out in racial terms as well as simple calls for justice. The Obama Justice Department is investigating whether Zimmerman violated Martin's civil rights by committing a so-called hate crime.

Crump's statement warning of global "pandemonium" adds to racial and vigilante tensions in the case already inflamed by statements from President Obama, the New Black Panthers and white neo-Nazis, as well as by celebrities Spike Lee and Roseanne Barr who publicized what they believed to be the home addresses of Zimmerman and his family.

Early Tuesday morning,an unmanned Sanford police car parked outside the neighborhood where the Martin shooting took place, had it's windows shattered by reported gunshots. That followed the Sanford police headquarters being shut down by peaceful college students who blocked the building's entrance to demand Zimmerman's arrest.

A $10,000 bounty for the dead or alive capture of Zimmerman has been announced by the New Black Panther Party. The Obama administration has been silent in the face of the Panthers' clear violation of the law and threat to civil society.

It’s funny that this moron thinks an “African future” is a thing to be desired, seeimg what Africa (Detroit, Birmingham, Haiti, etc) actually are. But the world would just be rainbows and free KFC and Nikes for all if only those terrible whites would go (and take our knowledge and expertise and history and spirit of innovation and discovery and altruism with us). What a beautiful world it would be, what a glorious thing to be free! (courtesy of Donald Fagen).

Pandemonium. Whatever could they mean?

As my late good friend, the chief of police
always said, “ It’s pandelirium out there.”

I foresee a day where the .22 LR round will be the new dollar bill, 9mm will be the $5 bill, 5.56 will be the $10 bill and 7.62 will be the twenty.

But it won't. See, most prosecutors want to be judges. To be appointed as a judge, you have to play nice with the politicians. Following the rule of law, even when it is not expedient to do so, will not make them happy. The prosecutor is under intense pressure to arrest Zimmerman, and if they have hope of any political future they will.

Sorry, I have to many friends and family who have been inside the justice system as lawyers and cops to have much hope for that.

Have you heard about the latest move by the geniuses of the ANC in South Africa? Now weather forecasters must get official (government) approval before broadcasring severe weather alerts or face jail time, because it might make the people “panic”-hmm, what people could they be referring to? Surely not the brethren of our domestic version of said people, whose response to Hurricane Katrina was to loot, riot, and shoot at the NG helicopters bringing succor to them? The same people who allowed a parking lot full of school buses to go under water rather than evacuate in an orderly and timely fashion, even with ample warning?

It’s a crime how that country was blackmailed into becoming a corrupt, violent third world cesspit after being the only first world nation on that continent. Now the geniuses can’t even keep the power plants running, having “affirmative actioned” all the whites out of jobs.

I always say my one comfort, cold though it is, is that if they get their wish and whites are exterminated, everything whiich makes human life endurable, pleasant, beautiful, and civilised goes with us. If any doubt that, look at South Africa-it only took app 30 years or less. Look at the height from which Detroit has fallen, Heck, look at the former Belgian Congo-omce Leopold and his cruelties were gotten rid of, the Belgians came in and gave those people a standard of living they’d never dreamed of. Now it’s as if it was all some dream-they’ve reverted even to cannibalism. In that short a time. There was an article in Time magazine from the Fifties about the “Congo Miracle” or something to that effect-you can search the archives or I’ll try to find it.

They have any experience in the FLORIDA system? Because I do. As a former State of Florida Probation and Parole Officer I've seen how that system works. In FLORIDA, state judges are appointed and then are placed on a ballot for periodic retention by merit. FLORIDA JUDICIAL SYSTEM

Now, our politicians are mostly pro gun which is why we have the so called "STAND YOUR GROUND LAW" to begin with. Our state Attorney General is pro gun and so is our Governor. Most of the bigger cities are filled with anti gun politicians which in turn breed anti gun judges. But here again is why the stand your ground law was created to start with. It is really an amendment of the standard "Castle Doctrine" legal doctrine that's always been around. But part of that amended law includes the mandate that an overzealous judge and or prosecutor can't push the case to trial absent a concrete and fact based finding that the shoot was unjustified. Neither can the family of the deceased push a wrongful death civil suit. And SOME prosecutors want to be judges but not all by any means. Many wind up as mega money defense attorneys in some of the hottest law firms around.

I’d have to clarify this with some research, but I’m pretty sure LaRaza is part of the “People Nation” as well. If Zimmerman had anything to do with La Raza now, or in the past it’s clear that he’s been marked.

This is gang warfare writ large with those in power being some of the biggest gangsters around... (Jackson, Holder, Obama, et al.) - And I don’t mean “gangsta” like the “socially cool” epithet, I’m talking hardcore gangsters (the likes of which would scare Al Capone).

After a tiny bit of research it seems that La Raza is affiliated with the “Folks” nation, and therefore them disclaiming Zimmerman would send a signal to “Holder’s PEOPLE” that this wasn’t some gang hit - Reading between the lines is sometimes quite a challenge for the uninitiated, no doubt the purpose, eh? LOL
Who knows anyway...I sure as heck don’t know any of this for sure.. all speculation. And I’m some white-chick not even IN the city, so my “street” knowledge is virtually non-existant!

—This reads like extortion by mob rule.—

Yes it does. I think this is why they didn’t want a grand jury. The decision to prosecute will be a political one.

I don't think so. Refer to my post 131.
