...Six months after the military dropped the controversial dont ask, dont tell law barring gays from serving openly, Pentagon officials and gay rights advocates say the policy change has largely been a non-issue, with few complaints and no major headaches resulting from the new rules...

Yeah, Obama’s military - Lapdog leadership.
Yeah, they always say this. When the problems start to become undeniable, they’ll say its too late to change.
Convenient. Homosexuals can’t serve in the military. Pass DADT. Now they can serve but not openly. Repeal DADT. Now they can serve openly.
Did I miss anything?
And Mitt Romney was just fine with DADT being rescinded.
DADT died quietly...like an AIDs patient in a hospice. Any additional funds for the VA to deal with this health hazard?
And hold the Homophophic flames flamers. AIDS is a very sad story and still out there in our gay community.
Give it some time for the big problems to surface. There will be problems with transexuals. What do you do with shemale troops? Of cource the civilian people who have homsexual “marriages” to homos in the military will demand military dependents status. What happens when large numbers of good troops choose to get out of the military because of this. How will enlistments be affected? This is a disaster.
Sure isn't our parents' America, is it? What a pathetic mess it all has become...
The “problem” as far as the left is concerned is that the enforcement arm of their “god” (government) has far too many conservative, Christian, Americans in it,
and therefore can’t be used as the tool of oppression that they “need”.
Answer: Purge out this unwanted demographic by making the culture unacceptable to them.
Yup. What did everyone expect them to say? "We screwed up Big Time! This was the worst mistake since Custer decided to take his troop out and scare up a few Indians!"
Pravada wasn't this blatant in its spin, I think.
Yup-already happening. It never was about gays in the military. Those who wanted to serve have been doing so with honor for many years. As you said, it was about marriage, benefits and healthcare (which is likely to cost a LOT for the high-risk population = something we never hear about!)
Expect an increase in “Friendly Fire” and “Lost at Sea” reports.
I guess they greased the skids..........
I'm guessing your understanding of the U.S. military stems from an overconsumption of hollywood movies.
If there WAS a problem, we will never hear about it.
Especially with the JAG offices run by fags.
Jag Fags??
LOL!!
Hey Lindsay? Where ARE you ??
***I’m guessing your understanding of the U.S. military stems from an overconsumption of hollywood movies. ****
Not hardly. I spent Four Years in the USAF, talked with others who served in other branches, have shown me all have a general disgust of homos. Not to mention that we were all required to report for military classes once each year and given a heavy dose of anti-homo warnings.
And one former navy man, many years ago, told me of a certain sailor on his ship who was “lost at sea”.
Pravda reports.
I did my time active from ‘71-’74 as a “volunteer”, but then how the hell could I have known that they’d end the draft the week after I started basic training?
Still, I did my three years, followed by four more in the guard, all playing army.
For sure I wouldn’t go into the current army under their current operating conditions, even if drafted. Some crap in life I don’t have to put up with.
