~Favorite "Dance" Songs~
*Safety Dance - Men Without Hats*
We can dance if we want to We can leave your friends behind 'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance Well they're, no friends of mine
Say, we can go where we want to A place where they will never find And we can act like we come from out of this world Leave the real one far behind And we can dance, "dansez"
We can go when we want to Night is young and so am I And we can dress real neat from our hats to our feet And surprise them with a victory cry
Say, we can act if we want to If we don't nobody will And you can act real rude and totally removed And I can act like an imbecile
And say
We can dance, we can dance Everything's out of control We can dance, we can dance We're doing it from pole to pole
We can dance, we can dance Everybody look at your hands We can dance, we can dance Everybody's taking the chance
its a Safety dance Oh well its safe to dance Yes it safe to dance
We can dance if we want to We've got all your life and mine As long as we abuse it, never going to lose it Everything will work out right
I say, We can dance if we want to We can leave your friends behind 'Cause your friends don't dance, and if they don't dance Well they're no friends of mine
I say, we can dance, we can dance Everything's out of control We can dance, we can dance We're doing it from pole to pole
We can dance, we can dance Everybody look at your hands We can dance, we can dance Everybody's taking the chance
Well it's safe to dance Yes it's safe to dance Well it's safe to dance Well it's safe to dance Yes it's safe to dance Well it's safe to dance Well it's safe to dance
It's a Safety Dance Well it's a Safety Dance Oh it's a Safety Dance Oh it's a Safety Dance Well it's a Safety Dance
*Garth Brooks - The Dance*
Looking back on the memory of The dance we shared 'neath the stars alone For a moment all the world was right How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye
And now I'm glad I didn't know The way it all would end the way it all would go Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain But I'd of had to miss the dance
Holding you I held everything For a moment wasn't I a king But if I'd only known how the king would fall Hey who's to say you know I might have chanced it all
And now I'm glad I didn't know The way it all would end the way it all would go Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain But I'd of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance
*I Could Have Danced All Night - My Fair Lady*
Bed, bed, I couldn't go to bed My head's too light to try to set it down Sleep, sleep, I couldn't sleep tonight Not for all the jewels in the crown
I could have danced all night I could have danced all night And still have begged for more
I could have spread my wings And done a thousand things I've never done before
I'll never know what made it so exciting Why all at once my heart took flight I only know when he began to dance with me I could have danced, danced, danced all night
It's after three now Don't you agree now? She ought to be in bed
I could have danced all night (You're tired out, you must be dead) I could have danced all night (Your face is drawn, your eyes are red) And still have begged for more (Now say goodnight, turn out the light) (Please, it's really time for you to be in bed)
I could have spread my wings (Do come along, do as you're told) And done a thousand things, I've never done before (Or Mrs. Pierce is apt to stir) (You're up too late, please, it sure is late) (Miss, you'll catch a cold)
I'll never know what made it so exciting Why all at once my heart took flight I only know when he began to dance with me (Put down your book, the work'll keep) (Now settle down and go to sleep) I could have danced, danced, danced all night
I understand, dear It's all been grand, dear But now it's time to sleep
I could have danced all night I could have danced all night and still have begged for more I could have spread my wings And done a thousand things, I'd never done before
I'll never know what made it so exciting Why all at once my heart took flight I only know when he began to dance with me I could have danced, danced, danced all night

Happy Friday Beachie!!
Hope you have a great 4 day weekend, enjoy the rain :-)
We had another 6 inches of globalwarming Thursday, but most has melted off and warmer temps will come.

We had wind early in the day yesterday, too. Not a cloud in the sky, though...and I’d just love some rain! :)
I sound like a broken record. LOL!

Didn’t do much, which was nice in itself. We had company for part of the day and had a burger from our favorite burger joint! :)
See ya later...gotta scoot off to work now myself! Ugh! :)

Good morning, Pro ((HUGS))
Yikes! More white stuff? Maybe Ma is pushing it south. She said she’s had enough.
Got to get the grass cut before rain arrives, otherwise it’ll be so thick...
I’m going to try to do R&R, although Monday I’m taking car to car wash to get detailed, and then clothes shopping.
Have a fantastic FRiday and weekend.

“And We Danced” - The Hooters
“Dance Naked” - John Couger
My fav Dance Lyrics is “Dance Little Jean” by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band / John Denver
I played a wedding for the money,
And I wished I could’ve told the bride and groom
Just what I think of marriage,
And what’s in store after their honeymoon.
And I was grumblin’ to the dancers
About how men and women ought to live apart,
And how a promise never made can not be broken,
And can never break a heart.
Then suddenly from out of nowhere,
A little girl came dancing ‘cross the floor.
And all her crinolines were billowing
Beneath the skirt of calico that she wore.
Oh what a joy fell on the honored guests
As each one of them was drawn into her dream,
And they laughed and stamped and clapped their hands
And hollered at her “Dance little Jean.”
And they said
Dance little Jean, this day is for you,
Two people you love, stood up to say “I do.”
Dance little Jean, the prayer that you had
Was answered today,
Your mama’s marrying your dad.
Well, my cynical heart just melted
‘Cause I figured what this get together meant.
How it ended years of tears and sad confusion
That the little girl had spent.
And they told the band to pack it up
About the time the couple cut the cake,
But we played as long as they stayed
For love and laughs and little Jeanie’s sake.
And we played
Dance, little Jean, this day is for you,
Two people you love, stood up to say “I do”
Dance little Jean, the prayer that you had
Was answered today,
Your mama’s marrying your dad.
It was answered today, your mama’s marrying your dad.

Good morning, angcat. NO!!!! We are 3 inches short of a record snowfall. 129” right now and snow predicted this afternoon and weekend. I am hoping that all the snow in the front yard will all melt by next winter. We’ve had 4+ feet of snow shoveled off the roof, so that is in the yard too.
Now we’ve had almost a whole week of bright, sunny, blue sky days, and LOTS of melting (which is lovely except it has no place to go and freezes hard overnight....single digits at my house last night.)
Have you had a nice winter?
