It would be a kick if oil and/or natural gas actually were right underneath the WH and the Capitol. Drill, baby, drill.

The GOP-controlled House of Representatives should immediately pass a bill to open up ANWR to drilling and see what Obama and the other Democrats do.
To: Hojczyk
And why aren’t the pubbies pushing bills to open drilling in ANWR and offshore RIGHT NOW??

At least Carter had enough honor to not toss any pretense to honesty out the window and outright LIE in order to win re-election.
This clown really takes the cake.

I read that as "there's nowhere we can drill".
Bill Clinton taught me to parse everything a politican says.

Overall U.S. oil production has been steadily increasing, reversing declines that began in the mid-1980s, and federal Energy Information Administration (EIA) data show that its now at the highest level since 2003. Obama inherited this from Bush. The idea that Obama had anything to do with increased oil production defies reason. It takes about five to eight years from discovery to production.
In fact, projections are that oil production will decrease in the future due to Obama's policies.

Obama is such a shameless liar!

We are drilling all over the place, Obama added, reading from a speech on his podium on a windy afternoon. Thats the reason we have been able to reduce our dependence on foreign oil every year since I took office.

I just hope that one of our Repub. Candidates will say publicly in response to Obama saying - "If you hear anybody on TV saying that somehow we are against drilling for oil, then you will know that they either dont know what they are talking about or they are not telling you the truth." then you have heard a big LIE!

You have my word that we will keep drilling everywhere we can and we will do it while protecting the health and safety of the American people, Obama said,... Therefore, we cannot drill everywhere.

I almost put my foot through the TV last night when I heard that Obama is NOW trying to move some Democrats in Congress to advocate for the Keystone Pipeline! His handlers must have come to the stark conclusion that their position on the matter is WRONG. Here we are at this time in history when Americans would like more jobs AND lower gas prices and he sat in the WH and pushed for rejection of the pipeline. NOW he wants to look like the energy hero? Don’t think so!!!
To: Hojczyk
The reason we have been able to reduce our dependence on foreign oil every year since Obama took office is new drilling and completion technologies which have opened up the so-called 'shale' drilling. These advances include horizontal drilling and multi-stage frac techniques - whose implementation Obama's administration has vigorously opposed for ideological reasons. If regulations, penalties, and bureaucratic impediments are the way to support an industry, then Obama has supported drilling for oil.

Obama is a pretty good liar. I remember him pre election interviewed by Bill O’Reilly and Obama said “of course” we need a missile defense, and then Obama threw in “but I want a system that works”. Of course liberals don’t believe missile defense works, so Obama has hobbled our programs since.
It’s just like that with oil. Duh, “of course” there is lots of drilling going on. There just aren’t the thousands of additional wells there could be but that doesn’t matter to a con artist like Obama.
BTW regardless of oil price wouldn’t it be better to have hundreds of billions of oil dollars in our own economy instead of with the Saudis, Iranians, Mexicans, Canada, Brazil, Venezuela???
Guarantee you OPEC funnels money to the democrats through environmental groups.
