Barack Obama is committed to killing off the family farm – an American tradition.
For generations children and adults have worked together on the family farm. Those days are over.
Senators John Thune (R-S.D.) and Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) today introduced the Preserving America’s Family Farm Act, to prevent the Department of Labor (DOL) from enacting its controversial proposed restrictions that would ban children from working on family farms.
Senator Thune spoke out against the Obama Administration’s proposed labor rules for youth who work on farms and ranches on the Senate floor.
The Obama Administration’s rules are so strict they would restrict minors from handling most animals and even from using battery-powered screwdrivers.

Not only an assault on food production. It is a way for the government to take more land from the people. Most family farms are in farm land or tree growth, and pay a lower tax rate. After a number of years the land is worth less than the taxes, so it cannot be sold and if the farm does not produce and is abandoned it immediately reverts to the government.
Zero is only trying to create shovel ready jobs. What easier way is there to do it? You have to figure that those children are stealing jobs from ________.
Illegals.
This is just the start on U.S. farming. He’s destroyed virtually everything else, so it figures farming would be a high priority target. By the time he’s done, the US will be forced to import 99% of it’s food.
Don’t have to. They will have lots of drone spy planes for that.

He's either clearing away family farms to make way for collective farming, or he's forcing farmers to hire illegals and pull more Mexican Socialists into the country (so he can give them citizenship -- by decree if necessary), or .....both.
Force farms to hire illegals. Then confiscate them or regulate the private owners out of existence, and collectivize them using Mexican Communists for the labor force.

What else he is doing is grasping for money. Farmers are permitted to deduct the expense of farm help as a business expense from gross income. They are permitted to pay their children as farm help up to some limit...I forget what, but I’d not be surprised to find it up to 5 or 6 thousand.
If a guy has 3 kids, that’s 15 grand of expense that comes off the top of his gross. Multiply that times how many farm families across America.
In addition to other schemes, this is also probably a money grab.

Unfortunately, it isn't just Communist urbanites that think stuff like this. Consider this offering, from a Jewish urbanite on the East Coast, discussing the opinion of neoconservatives and Jewish voters of people like Sarah Palin in particular, but all non-urbanites in Flyover Country generally. It's a real bigotry, one I'd never seen so trenchantly expressed before last night, and only hinted at by the series of jeremiads in The Weekly Standard, 20 years ago, by neocon authors against the influence of the Southern Republican conservatives, after the GOP House coup in 1994, which the neocons regarded with barely-disguised horror.
