Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE-RGR), announced today that for the first quarter 2012, the Company has received orders for more than one million units. Therefore, the Company has temporarily suspended the acceptance of new orders.
Chief Executive Officer Michael O. Fifer made the following comments:
The Companys Retailer Programs that were offered from January 1, 2012 through February 29, 2012 were very successful and generated significant orders from retailers to independent wholesale distributors for Ruger firearms. Year-to-date, the independent wholesale distributors placed orders with the Company for more than one million Ruger firearms. Despite the Companys continuing successful efforts to increase production rates, the incoming order rate exceeds our capacity to rapidly fulfill these orders. Consequently, the Company has temporarily suspended the acceptance of new orders.

That's a lotta guns.
The 2nd Amendment is alive and well!
Thanks Obama!
(seriously, we do have him to thank for this)
I am goinhg out shopping this weekend for a nice new .410 shotgun I saw.
Small enough for indoor home defense if needed, without taking out a support wall
I met the Prez of ruger recently. I thought he was really great guy. He was excited about his products and was standing there demonstrating them.
Loving my Ruger LC9.
20ga is nice too. Very light.
Did they recently introduce a 1911-style pistol?
...it really caught my attention. I wonder if it could be tweaked so it would use the same mags as my AR-10...
That is on my Wish List along with the Ruger 1911.
Both are nowhere to be had because of extreme demand.
Ruger’s compact 9 mm. their LC9, is a nice CCW pistol. Laserlyte makes a side mount laser for it.
They have a lot of models that people like.
Their new lightweight compact (LCR) revolver (38/357). The equivalent small semi auto LCP (38/357). Small 9mm LC9. Larger SR9 semiauto.
The Supreme court ruling on Obama care its making us pay for abortions- is coming next week.
Check out the Ruger P series. I’ve a P-91DC (.40cal). Great pistol.
I have both the LC9 and the LCP. Love the size, but hate the triggers on both. What I do not understand is the trigger pull on the LC9. At least the horrible trigger on the LCP can be explained away as the LCP has no safety....the LC9 has one though. Who on earth thought that trigger was a good idea?
Yes, the SR1911.
I Want one!
I have the LCP .380 and the fullsize SR9 9mm. I am thinking about trying to trade them together for an AR of some sort.
Crimson trace makes a better laser for your LC9!
If anybody wants anything firearm related this year, I’d be getting it now...stores are already seeing difficulty in replacing stock of guns, ammo, and some popular accessories.
There are 7 Ruger 1911s for sale on GunBroker.

I own a P-85, a Super Single Six, and a Super Blackhawk Biesly model. Love’em all.
I’m a fan of the older stuff, the old tree screw single actions, tang safety bolt rifles and the #1’s and #3’s.
I want one at MSRP or better.
