Many Insiders contended that the White House, in weighing the political implications of issuing these rules, will “wait for a less turbulent political environment to move forward”—after the November election passes.
“OMB is going to hold on to the [regulations] until after the election. No matter what the [regulations] say, they are going to send shock waves through the important Rust Belt states. To release [them] earlier would be a certain self-imposed wound,” one Insider said.
Some Insiders maintained that Obama already handed a victory to his environmental base when he rejected a permit for the controversial Keystone XL pipeline in January and will not feel pressured to issue the greenhouse-gas regulations until after the election.
“The White House may think punting on Keystone was a big-enough bone for environmentalists and they don't have to do anything else for them before the election,” said one Insider. “And delay avoids providing grist for the ‘War on Coal’ mill.”
Twenty-one percent of Insiders said that the rules would come this summer, while 12 percent said they could be issued at some point in between.
In a poll conducted by National Journal in September, just after Obama shelved stricter environmental regulations for ground-level ozone until at least 2013, nearly 40 percent of Insiders said it was “somewhat likely” the White House would put off even more environmental regulations. They predicted that greenhouse-gas regulations would face the most scrutiny.
Most National Journal Insiders—60 percent—agreed that this time around, issuing the greenhouse-gas standards for power plants ahead of the election could be politically damaging for Obama, while 38 percent argued it would be a good political move.

funny comment, but your correct. My wife and I figure we’ve got less than 12 months to get out of the city before these rules go into effect and the rolling blackouts start and the accompanying breakdown in civil society happens.
Most people here do know what OMB means and what they do. Googling it didn’t hurt I’m sure since you probably learned something. If it gave you a headache take two aspirin and call an EMT.
I think it's fair to use the abbreviation OMB. It's well-known and constantly in the news. In this case, the burden is on the reader.

This article demonstrates they know exactly what they are doing. It is all being done on purpose to create a crisis.

....now I agree heartily with fiscal conservatism...but it is not what gets my motor going. and I do not know a lot of the jargon. I believe a good chunk of the social conservatives would not know the individual agencies by their initials or their acronyms. heck I bet a good deal of the fiscal conservatives don't have them remembered either...

They think this stupid and brain dead public won't know or care what they do after the election. More importantly, they KNOW themselves what a complete disaster their agenda will be to this country when they implement it.
The biggest thing that many have either forgotten or have minimized, is Obamacare, as well as the National Debt, inflation, and the irreparable damage caused by Quantitative Easing. The damage from this combination of agendas waiting to surface will be devastating.

So, they have and they 'think' they can. What can we do to get this out into the public realm? I think the quote from the OMB is pretty damning if you ask me. How do we get it into the conservative media and ignite the internet and twitter with it.
This is an actual aritcle admitting that the entire agenda, currently planned by 0bama, is catastrophic. That is a pretty big deal...now, how do we get 'out there?'
Even if it doesn’t happen then O’Romney is sure to take up the standard and push these thru.
Some voters may be sweltering in their darkened homes and businesses this summer anyway as a result of the EPA already shutting down 20 coal fired power plants and of course we are all looking at $4 maybe $5 per gallon gasoline this summer all thanks to Obama.
