Romney: If You Want Free Stuff, Vote for Obama By Noah Glyn March 20, 2012 2:07 P.M.
As Kathryn noted, Romney had an effective response to a woman who told him, Youre all for like Yay freedom and all this stuff and yay pursuit of happiness. You know what would make me happy? Free birth control.
Video at link.
I liked Mitt’s off the cuff answer...but I would have said this.
“Let me tell you something young lady, you’ve always had free birth control. It’s an intrinsic part of the human condition. Just say no. It’s really that simple, and nobody needs to buy it for you. Next question.”

IF I WERE PRESIDENT, HERE”S WHAT I’D DO

This line should be worked into every speech and interview Romney gives. Make sure that every voter equates the name -Obama- with “giving away free stuff with borrowed money.”
should have said if you cannot afford a condom then I suggest you refrain from having sex and if the guy cannot afford a condom then I suggest you find a guy which has more of a future.
you have free contraception dear, close your legs or find a guy who has more than a couple of $’s to afford a condom.
This is so pathetic that we now have women openly saying they want sex , can’;t keep their legs closed and want us to pay for them.
Your answer is good....on paper. But not on the stump. Slogans must be short and catchy. “You want free stuff, vote for the other guy” works well.
bttt
“Vote Democrat; It’s easier than getting a job!”
He should have followed with a “but everyone should know that nothing is really “free”.
Nothing is free!!
True. How about just “There’s no such thing as free stuff”.
“The trouble is the MSM puts things like this on sound-byte loop mode when said by Republicans.”
Oh absolutely, but in this particular case I don’t think “if you want free stuff vote for someone else” is going to cost him any votes from the entitlement class and it might gain him a few among those who are tired of paying for the free ride. It’s certainly nowhere near the ammo that Santorum’s “I don’t care what the unemployment rate is” fubar gives them.
That’s another good way to say it. You know, some people said it’s not good to remind people who to vote for to continue and expand the give away society. I don’t think that’s a significant danger. Those already getting the freebies will mostly vote Dimocrat anyway. It’s the Indys and moderates on both sides that seriously need to be reminded how close we are to driving over the fiscal cliff.
Catch phrases like “if you want free stuff, vote for Obama” and theres no such thing as free stuff can stick in someone’s head and in their subliminal mind and make an impression.
I just don’t care for “if you want free stuff vote for Obama” because it perpetuates the myth that there is free stuff :)
“This is so pathetic that we now have women openly saying they want sex , can;t keep their legs closed and want us to pay for them.”
Yep, these women can’t say no. They really want to say no but can’t control themselves. That’s where the rage and hate in these feminazis comes from. They hate men but need you know what. So they just explode because of the contradiction.
If we are beyond the tipping point, does that change the way we act? We must still fight for our Constitution, or get the hell out of Dodge...
“It’s the right answer and he probably did think it through. “
A better answer would be, “It’s not free. Nothing is. Who do you expect will pay for your “free” benefit?”
Or simply TANSTAAFL. This IS between the shirts and the skins.
