Carbonite's statement was especially and curiously unctuous, its withdrawal of sponsorship coming as it did after Rush's apology. Here is Carbonite's CEO David Friend:

MoveOn.org, America Coming Together and Democracy for America, all three listed here as George Soros funded groups, the latter set up by Howard Dean. Texans for Truth also drew Mr. Friend's support. This group, according to Wikipedia, was set up by MoveOn.org spin-off Drive Democracy.org in 2004. Why? To… wait for it… challenge then-President Bush's service in the Texas National Guard. The precise same stunt for which CBS fired Dan Rather after documents were discovered to have been forged. The Bush-Cheney campaign said of Texans for Truth that it was "a smear group launching baseless attacks on behalf of John Kerry's campaign that will be rejected by the American people." They were. But that didn't quench Mr. Friend's affection for either the smear campaign or supporting leftist candidates such as Howard Dean, and John Kerry.
And get a load of this. Take a look right here at Ed "Laura Ingraham is a slut" Schultz's site for his radio show. Who is listed as a Schultz sponsor? That's right: Carbonite. Like Rush Limbaugh, Ed Schultz apologized. The difference? If Rush uses the word "slut" to illustrate the absurdity of the left-wing Sandra Fluke's views -- David Friend is outraged. But when Ed Schultz refers in hostile fashion out of the blue to conservative and Catholic Laura Ingraham as a "slut" -- hey, no big deal for Carbonite......

Guess if you subscribed to XM/Sirius you could cancel over moron Mikey annoy, er Malloy. Too late for us, we cancelled when XM merged with Sirius, we refused to fund Howard Stern. Reception was pretty bad too.

The only reason this contraception issue was brought up by the Obama administration was to generate an issue to remove another threat to itself...the threat of Rick Santorum becoming a powerful GOP candidate. The Dims also knew that there would be some damage to other conservatives because of this. Santorum is now mortally damaged because of this issue (The way the Media portrayed Santorum’s stance on contraception), and conservative personalities and the Tea Party are grappling with dealing with this issue instead of other more important issues.

Agree with your assessment this issue was manufactured to damage Rick Santorum. On Saturday, Mrs. OLA fielded a land line telephone call from the Santorum campaign. The caller seemed surprised when Mrs. OLA said she'll be voting for Rick on Tuesday. The caller wouldn't elaborate when quizzed over the telephone canvassing process results.
For the last three weeks, Myth and RuPaul have been bombarding the Southern Ohio broadcast outlets with negative campaign advertising against Rick Santorum. Thinking Rick Santorum's own mother wouldn't vote for Rick after this slime.

It's hard to not be suspicious nowadays with the amazing technological abilities our government and military has.

The left unite and do their boycotts which work.
It is announced on here that say homo depot is activily getting workers who are homo’s, who give money to the homo agenda and who push the homo agenda and even on here many still shop there.
The right promote lefty companies and then it becomes to a point where the right is forced to say sorry.
Rush and others should never have promoted these companies and has Rush and other talk show hosts announce to their listeners which companies are lefty companies and what these companies are doing?
If people want a back up and have them private then get an external hard drive instead of paying a company and letting them maybe see what is on your files in the first place.
Anyway I never purchase a product because someone endorses it, I have my own mind and I do not give my money to businesses which promote the lefts agenda or even not celebrate Christmas or Easter
He said on the air today that he made the error of lowering himself to the level of his critics when he used the language that he did.
In his written apology he said he had made the attack personal. He apologized for that.
Look, you may not agree with his reasoning.
Apologizing may not be popular, but it should be respected as an honorable course of action.
I’m stunned that so many on here actually use this business, all pone has to do is get an external hard drive and keep your own files private and in the long term its cheaper.
Then using businesses which are left wing is stunning to me.
I have to give the left one thing.
They are much better organized and certainly can get a boycott done well unlike us which seem unable to get all of talk radio and right wing sites on the same page and push an issue or a boycott.
Difference, they send out mail to all their supporters and then the business gets tens of thousands or mail saying they will be boycotted or it might be that much mail to a congressman who then changes his vote to suit them left.
Here on the right we have many on talk radio who can’t even talk about social conservative issues, let alone inform the public which companies promote certain issues like the queer agenda etc.
Hell we can’t even get on the same page, Rush mentions the news, Hannity just copies and is a coward.
We want a congressman to change his vote he might get 5 calls a day because we only call our local rep and then we wonder why the left who are the minority are winning in their agenda .
Hell they have been pro active for over a 100 years, we have always been reactive to them and then we try and defend ourselves, well some of us do and some on the right will never go after groups like the homo’s because they’re taking money off these groups.
I guess for some money trumps morals and convictions
The problem with that backup philosophy is you can still lose your data if: (1) your backup drive fails without you realizing it, (2) A thief could steel your computer hardware (including your backup drive), or (3) you have some kind of natural disaster at your location that destroys your hardware.
Guess it comes down to the value one places on the data that is on a particular computer
Go to Carbonite’s facebook page and type in. “Do Not Use This Product. It really messed up my computer. I actually did try Carbonite a couple of years ago (linked off of Rush’s site) and it hosed my hard drive real good.
I just listened to Rush's first hour. He admits he knew and then naively says you put those things aside in business. And admonishes us not to behave like the left? It does sound like though he won't be taking these ship jumpers back. I sincerely hope though...he has learned a valuable lesson in doing business with the progressive left.
And ...I hope his listeners have learned to not just trust the advertiser on his show. Check them out and decide for yourself if you will patronize them or not.
But it does bother me that he knew, he knew our dollars were going to these liberal left companies...and said nothing.
