Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum labeled Rush Limbaugh "absurd" over disparaging remarks from the radio talk show host directed at a law student who testified before a House panel in support of access to contraceptives.
"He's being absurd, but that's you know, an entertainer can be absurd," Santorum told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Friday. "He's in a very different business than I am."

Rush was not played and he was not being "absurd."
First, I’d be prepared. Campaigning, I’m sure, is very taxing but if you want the job (then, as they say on the street) “Handle your business!” They (the libs) sprung this crap on Romney two weeks ago. They have been relentless in pursuit of this non-issue ever since. Ray Charles could’ve seen where they were going with this. I would have addressed it directly without fear of how the lib media characterized me. They’ll never be Santorum’s friend! I, honestly, don’t know why so-called conservatives bother to talk to the lib media anyway. I believe in being direct and ruthlessly truthful, where the well-being of my country is concerned. I don’t dislike Santorum. I’d take him over Romney any day but my preference is Newt. Newt would have been thoughtful, poised and direct. With libs, what’s to lose?
You get desperate, you say and do desperate things. Didn’t take Santorum long to team up with Obama. But hey, gotta be a team player.

No, Rush was pointing-out the absurdity of it all. He was not being absurd. Rush was not entertaining. He was providing clarity. Some folks, simply, can’t think clearly. Rush helps them along. Perhaps, Santorum could have phrased that better!

So Rush, your candidate has just called you absurd. I will find it interesting come Monday morning to hear Rush’s comment if he has any. I kind of agree as I think Rush should be supporting Newt. GO NEWT GO!
What is absurd is the Republican controlled House allowed this insanity to take place in the first place. WDC needs leadership, not more pandering to sex addicts R - US crowds.

I reject the idea that Newt’s sins are somehow worse because he wasn’t in office at the time. To some extent I think they are worse because there’s no punishment for straying off the reservation as there is if you are a public office holder.
Newt’s not a conservative as much as he is an egotist that doesn’t really care what he believes as long as it makes him look like the smartest guy in the room. If you do get him elected, you’ll discover that.
Santorum is not a great conservative either but at least he’s lived a life of strong character so when he takes a position, I expect it to be fairly consistent. I can’t say that about Newt or Mitt.
None of these idiots ever learn.
Did you see that a couple advertisers pulled from Rush’s show? All that’s going to do is increase his listeners by a few million again.
At the end of the day, Rush will still be rich and Ms. Fluke will still be a loser slut.
He didn’t “go safe.” He threw Rush under the bus. The proper answer would be to give Rush respect and politely decline to comment on something unimportant.
I agree..a few companies dropping Rush means nothing. Rush has millions of listeners and new ones everyday
