He was under incessant attack by the Santorum crowd...as anyone who is critical of Santorum is (let me testify!)...and the victim of false accusation.
I would cite this example: I posted a thread last night by Wes Pruden of the Washington Times that was highly critical of Santorum. As I result I was called names, my motives and integrity were impugned and I was accused of "bashing Christians". It was all a crock.
However, had I been a newbie I likely would have been zotted based on the accusations, not a reading of my words.
I believe Apollo5600 has shown himself to be a credit to the site.
I also believe some of these Santorum supporters need far more scrutiny and examination of their daily name calling and false accusations.
Jim I encourage you to offer that counsel to the admins. It's the worst behavior I have seen in my 13 years here.
I am not even sure I have ever responded to Apollo5600, but if he has a second account that is a no-no.

I’m a Newt fan, and now, there are probably some Ron Paul fans laughing at me, based on the polling results. No matter, of the four running, he is the best overall man for the job, in my opinion, warts and all.
I am not a Rick fan—I just don’t think he has what it takes to take on Obama in the general. I also don’t like the fact that he is proud of being the “go-to” guy(also somewhat disputed) in the coup against Gingrich in 1999.
But if he is the GOP nominee, I’ll vote for him.

Like you, I am all in for Newt and I’m not fond of Santorum at all, for many reasons which I don’t need to air.
I’m all for stopping Romney but I sure want Newt to be the winner! I want reasons to fight for our candidate and to work my fanny off for his election.
I don’t want to merely go vote for our nominee, but that’s all I’ll do if it’s Santorum and I won’t even do that much if it’s Romney.

My choice didn’t run and the others dropped out of are not looking too likely. So at this point, I’m can only get excited about one thing, and that is the ouster of the Marxist that currently is usurping the WH.

Oh, the irony.
Of course Apollo5600 makes some sarcastic comments in a Mark Levin-ish way, but if this one went over the line for too many people, I think a warning would have sufficed. If his zot was reduced to a temporary "zot purgatory" I think that would suffice.
Apollo5600 also says stuff like Santorum offers medicore solutions because he has a mediocre intellect. That ticks off Santorum supporters I guess, but I believe it's true and I've said the same thing. And I'll reiterate that "American Constitutionalist" went much further over-the-top in one thread this week by posting multiple times that God was currently enacting vengeance on Newt supporters or something like that.
I also agree with what Apollo5600 said here:
This isn’t about beauty contests or cults of personality. It’s about fighting our main enemy, an oppressive federal government. Only Newt really has a platform that even begins to address it.
