From looking at his posting history, I agree Apollo5600 should NOT have gotten the zot. There is a lot of substance, detail, honesty, facts, and well-thought out commentary and arguments in his posts, expressed in a fun and colorful way. I enjoy reading his posts much more than most of the Santorum supporters that just offer "rah rah" cheering without making any substantive case why Rick is the best candidate. As someone who has been accused of being a Romneybot just because I criticized Santorum, despite my long history of criticizing Mittsky as being an unelectable, lying fraud, I know that Santorum fans can go over-the-top with accusations without having anything to back them up. Apollo5600 is not anti-religious and has said here that he is an evangelical Christian and a Newt supporter.

Of course Apollo5600 makes some sarcastic comments in a Mark Levin-ish way, but if this one went over the line for too many people, I think a warning would have sufficed. If his zot was reduced to a temporary "zot purgatory" I think that would suffice.

Apollo5600 also says stuff like Santorum offers medicore solutions because he has a mediocre intellect. That ticks off Santorum supporters I guess, but I believe it's true and I've said the same thing. And I'll reiterate that "American Constitutionalist" went much further over-the-top in one thread this week by posting multiple times that God was currently enacting vengeance on Newt supporters or something like that.

I also agree with what Apollo5600 said here:

This isn’t about beauty contests or cults of personality. It’s about fighting our main enemy, an oppressive federal government. Only Newt really has a platform that even begins to address it.

I had to check back to see my original post which started this whole thing, and all I said was:

“I don’t celebrate this ZOT at all.
Can’t win ‘em all.”

Next time I’ll just stay quiet and out of it. I was just taken aback, given the repeated rancid posts by others, and the one poster you named, that sail by ignored.

I was aware that a mob was after Apollo5600 but like Mariner pointed out, some of the Santorum peeps are truly running wild.
