The state of Alaska has released what officials say are the last of Sarah Palin's emails from her time as governor, according to the Associated Press, which was among the news organizations requesting the records, along with msnbc.com.
The AP reports:
Citizens and news organizations, including The Associated Press, first requested Palin's emails in September 2008, as part of her vetting as the Republican vice presidential nominee. The state released a batch of the emails last June, a lag of nearly three years that was attributed to the sheer volume of the records and the flood of requests stemming from Palin's tenure.
The 24,199 pages of emails that were released last year left off in September 2008.
Thursday's release includes 17,736 records, or 34,820 pages, generally spanning from October 2008 until Palin's resignation, in July 2009. Of those, 13,791 records were released without redactions, according to the governor's office.
The release also includes some records that the current governor's deputy chief of staff said were inadvertently omitted from the earlier release.
The state of Alaska did not notify msnbc.com of the latest release, although it was one of the news organizations requesting the records.

My gosh these people are obsessed with the Governor.
I hope they don’t release the one when she e mailed me that she would leave Todd for me if I gave her the go head
“vetting”, gotta remember that next time I need a synonym for “witch-hunt”.
Our judicial system must be absolutely totally corrupt.
Any opponent of Obama has had every single detail of their life exposed, often by judicial order and against all precedent.
Obama on the other hand has never had to reveal anything of his past absolutely nothing.
Still waiting for that Rashid Khalidi tape to be released by the LA Times..waiting...waiting..meanwhile the media AGAIN is obsessed by emails Sarah wrote.

0hbummer on the other hand has never had to reveal anything of his past, - absolutely nothing.

Yeah, the same Governor that was SOOOO over 15 minutes ago!
Oh you, heeheehee.
Amen to that!
So, they’ve released 59,000 emails? How much did that cost the State of Alaska? Presumably somebody had to go over every single page to see if anything had to be redacted because of third-party privacy concerns. And all of those somebodies were on the state payroll.
I really think that someone needs to do a study of what all this stupid, useless Palin-bashing has cost the State of Alaska and its taxpayers.
Sarah: “Todd, can you pick up bread and milk at the store before you get home tonight?”
Todd: “You bet, sugar pants!”
Sarah: “Love you”
Todd: “Ditto”

When Romney left office, more than two years before Palin became a national figure, he had all his administration's servers and computers wiped clean.
Romney's Reptiles have been just as rabidly against Sarah Palin as the Obama slugs have been.
If Palin could become the Pubbie nominee for Nov 2012 from a brokered convention she could make that a point in any debate!
But think of all of the other documents that are sealed away that she could make hay from in such a race. She could release her elementary - college transcripts and anything else comparable to what The O’Bum is hiding and make a lot of hay with it.
fify.

Can't be said enough. And it's pithy, too. :)
Thanks for the Ping, LucyT!
