America on Verge of Economic Collapse Because of Obama's Cooked Reports
News Blaze ^ | 2/18/12 | Chuck Ness

Posted on 02/18/2012 11:56:59 PM PST by OneVike

The Obama administration has released an economic report that claims everything is coming up roses, and it is making the rounds of the MSM's news outlets. Truth is, when you look into the numbers, it's rather easy to come to the conclusion that the economic reports are as screwy as the administration's employment numbers. In order to convince Americans that his economic measures are working, Obama is claiming there has been an increase in retail sales from December to January by a seasonally adjusted .4%. The administration goes on to explain that while the economy is moving in a positive direction, it is still slow. They also point out that the recently reported gains reduced unemployment to 8.3%, proving that Socialist economic policies are working. However, Obama's unemployment numbers have since been proven to be lies. Have I stated that we are in an election year and that Obama needs to get re-elected in order to continue transforming the greatest country in the history of mankind into a Soviet style basket case? To assist in the destruction, the MSM has been knowingly repeating this administration's lies.

Instead of reporting how America's real unemployment is actually up between 19 and 25%, they report that Obama has been able to get unemployment down to 8.3%. Instead of reporting that the government is spending more money than it is taking in, and that retail sales have dropped by almost $100 billion from December to January, we are told by the administration's propaganda machine that retail sales have increased by .4%. In an election year, the MSM will do everything in their power to convince Americans that Obama is even greater than Ronald Reagan.

Monthly U.S. Total Gasoline Retail Deliveries By Refiners.
Note: the two low points are for October and November 2011, the most recent data.
Graphic: U.S. Energy Information Administration

By looking at the usage of gasoline by us citizens, you will notice that it really does back up my point that Americans are not going anywhere to buy anything. The refineries are not delivering gas to your local service station because neither you nor your neighbor are buying gas. We are staying home because our stagnant income does not allow us to put extra gas in our cars, let alone drive around to purchase things we cannot afford. Again, please notice the last two data points on the graph above. They point to a historic low amount of gas being used by Americans, which has a direct effect on the overall retail sales. Which in turn will affect the employment of Americans. So unless Americans begin buying more gas to go to the store, be prepared for the administration to offer up more bogus unemployment numbers like the ones I wrote about last week which Obama and the MSM do not want you to know exist.

Well,  GeeOpie, there's that and...

"Oops"

But evidently this is a Truth that Kenny Mehlman and the fiscally "conthervative" RINO jackwagons who were busy decorating the interior of the White Hut with fashionable Rainbow Log Cabin accoutrements (instead of keeping a predatory parasite like Roland Arnall & Co. from climbing aboard W's coat tails)... would prefer to un-exist.

Just WOW! That reads like a spy novel of sorts. The resemblance is uncanny. The page made reference to photo proof of Obama’s momma being in the same shot as Malcolm X. Where could that be found? Also, the video second from the last, shows Obama’s face morphed with a woman’s other than his momma. Anyone know who the other woman is?

Yep.

This is near the South gate of the Air Force Academy - never occupied or finished.

Been in that state since 2007.

This is on "Space Center" way:

Finished in 2007.  Never been occupied.

Meanwhile, I see McYuppy Rice-mobile SUVs turning into Peterson AFB every AM with "Save Tibet" queer "Equality" and Obama bumper stickers in proud display.

O’Bummer’s economic data have about as much credibility as Chamberlain’s letter of peace with the Germans...(and has similar consequences!)

It is a scary thing, and I sign of even harder times ahead in NJ. They admitted within the past year that is was built for tourists to NYC (our devalued dollars wouldn’t have bought much); these jobs that would’ve been created wouldn’t feed families (waiters, retail clerks, etc.).

They’re debating what to do with it now.

There buying time proping up the house of cards either to disrupt the 2012 election and force a postponement or to hand it off to the next president timed to collapse at that point.

Nice pics; nobody will admit it, but the reason the southern border is left wide open is to let in ANYONE who will shop here, live here in a house or apartment, put kids’ asses in the seats in our public schools, and yes, even put convicts in our prisons. There are a lot of people in gubmint jobs who should really be laid off due to these population shifts, and the municipalities’ answers are to let in ANYONE (and stop their law enforcement from doing anything about it).

NJ and NY just lost another House seat, and that trend will continue; that is why Obama is “nationalizing” as much socialism as possible - the Dems have to remove the advantages of businesses and taxpayers to move to “American” states.

You obviously didn't get the memo. The Truth is whatever this administration says it is and you are forbidden to disagree.

In a fair accounting, President Obama is responsible (along with the then-Democratic Congress) for the $1.3 trillion in deficit spending in 2010 and the estimated $1.6 trillion in deficit spending in 2011. He [Obama] should not get credit, moreover, for the $149 billion in TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) repayments made in 2010 and 2011 to cover most of the $154 billion in bank loans that remained unpaid at the end of the 2009 fiscal year—loans that count against President Bush’s 2009 deficit tally.

The Treasury Department says that all but $5 billion of the TARP bank loans has now been repaid. The portion of repayments that was for loans issued in 2009 should be deducted from Bush’s deficit tally, not credited to Obama as deficit savings. There is some astounding number crunching in this article, and a chart of modern day president’s “average annual deficit spending” ........a frightening conclusion of what happens if Obama has an 8 year term.

The Stimulus Bombshell
MyGovCost.org ^ | 1/24/12 | Craig Eyermann
FR Posted January 31, 2012 by GSWarrior

Stunning.

That’s really the only word we can use to describe the release of a “sensitive and confidential” 57 page memo, written by then soon-to-be U.S. Treasury Secretary Larry Summers in December 2008, about what became President Obama’s signature economic program in the first year of his presidency: the “stimulus package”.

James Pethokoukis has summarized some of the most significant aspects of the memo, which we’ve excerpted below, and which reveals the Obama administration’s thinking behind what became an over 821 billion dollar boondoggle. The bold text represents Pethokoukis’ summary of that thinking, which is directly followed by a supporting quotation from Larry Summers’ memo:

1. The stimulus was about implementing the Obama agenda. The short-run economic imperative was to identify as many campaign promises or high priority items that would spend out quickly and be inherently temporary.... The stimulus package is a key tool for advancing clean energy goals and fulfilling a number of campaign commitments.

2. Team Obama knows these deficits are dangerous (although it has offered no long-term plan to deal with them). Closing the gap between what the campaign proposed and the estimates of the campaign offsets would require scaling back proposals by about $100 billion annually or adding new offsets totaling the same. Even this, however, would leave an average deficit over the next decade that would be worse than any post-World War II decade. This would be entirely unsustainable and could cause serious economic problems in the both the short run and the long run.

3. Obamanomics was pricier than advertised. Your campaign proposals add about $100 billion per year to the deficit largely because rescoring indicates that some of your revenue raisers do not raise as much as the campaign assumed and some of your proposals cost more than the campaign assumed.... Treasury estimates that repealing the tax cuts above $250,000 would raise about $40 billion less than the campaign assumed.... The health plan is about $10 billion more costly than the campaign estimated and the health savings are about $25 billion lower than the campaign estimated.

4. Even Washington can only spend so much money so fast. Constructing a package of this size, or even in the $500 billion range, is a major challenge. While the most effective stimulus is government investment, it is difficult to identify feasible spending projects on the scale that is needed to stabilize the macroeconomy. Moreover, there is a tension between the need to spend the money quickly and the desire to spend the money wisely. To get the package to the requisite size, and also to address other problems, we recommend combining it with substantial state fiscal relief and tax cuts for individuals and businesses.

5. Liberals can complain about the stimulus having too many tax cuts, but even Team Obama thought more spending was unrealistic.

As noted above, it is not possible to spend out much more than $225 billion in the next two years with high- priority investments and protections for the most vulnerable. This total, however, falls well short of what economists believe is needed for the economy, both in total and especially in 2009. As a result, to achieve our macroeconomic objectives— minimally the 2.5 million job goal—will require other sources of stimulus including state fiscal relief, tax cuts for individuals, or tax cuts for businesses.

6. Team Obama thought a stimulus plan of more than $1 trillion would spook financial markets and send interest rates climbing. To accomplish a more significant reduction in the output gap would require stimulus of well over $1 trillion based on purely mechanical assumptions—which would likely not accomplish the goal because of the impact it would have on markets.

The model of Society as a pyramid with a wide productive base having wise leadership...

...FAILS when parasites infest governance and turn it into a cash-cow instead of a means of securing the inalienable rights of the governed.

An upside-down pyramid that's being eaten from the inside out by Interior Decorating maggots is not a stable or orderly pyramid -- it becomes just a big pile of rocks that will crush anything beneath it as it falls.

The conventional wisdom is that bankrupt Greece was hollowed out from within---by avaricious politicians and their cronies. One report showed the Greek govt had 535 fully-staffed govt agencies with no discernable purpose.

==========================================

REFERENCE 10 Insanely Overpaid Public Employees
BY BLAIRE BRIODY, The Fiscal Times, July 13, 2011

EDITED Even in these tough times, thousands of govt employees get great, big fat salaries. Hundreds of thousands get more than the $400,000 annual Obama pulls down.

In 2009, 347 Texas state employees earned more than the president; 53 of them made more than $600,000. In New York, 35 employees were paid over $400k last year.

Since 2005, the number of Federal employees earning $150,000 plus has jumped tenfold: from 12,399 to 171,689. Besides hefty salaries, yearly payouts include bonuses, overtime pay, free health benefits and free cars/fillups/maintenance/license fees.

And at retirement, royal exit packages, annuities, bonuses, multi-million dollar investment packages, Cadillac family health benefits, pension checks AND retirement into low show second govt jobs with plentiful perks, and hefty buyous for duplicate benefits packages.

Then there's "other pay".... things like unused sick days......$594,976 worth for one California employee – something struggling private sector employees can only dream of...but all of whom are footing the bills for this largesse.

[ANYONE who will shop here, live here in a house or apartment]

W's idea of the "Ownership Society" had noble intentions.

I think W recognized that there was a choice to be made -- between having those folks South of the border become disenfranchised fodder sent here as part of a communist revolutionary uprising, or,  preemptively assimilating them to become owners and caretakers in the American Dreams.

Common sense dictates the humane preference for the latter.

Unfortunately the noble vision of the "Ownership Society" was exploited by criminal predators who gamed the relaxed lending standards required to implement the vision, and turned the noble potential into a nightmare of systemic corruption whose a$$paper fruits are still poisoning the global financial infrastructure.
