Palin shines brightest at CPAC conference

If Sarah Palin had been on the ballot for the straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference, there is little doubt she would have won.

The former Alaska governor received far-and-away the most spirited and enthusiastic reception at this convention of about 10,000 conservative activists.

She drew the audience to its feet more than a dozen times during her keynote address on Saturday.

If only she could win a brokered convention. It’ll never happen.

Nope. It'll never happen. Kind of as shame.

In a political world where everyone, Democrat and Republican, claims to be Ronald Reagan reprised, she might be the one who could pull it off.

She also might ne able to lead.

Didn’t Ron Paul win it last year? I think they have the wackos running the concession booths voting in these polls.

Okay, its time for the Rats to dispatch another division of lawyers and journ-o-lists to Alaska to invade Sarah’s garbage cans! Hurry, Brian Williams and co. can’t wait to breathlessly report on whatever greasy old banana peels that might be uncovered. lol

Don’t be so pessimistic. It’s not that hard, and with every vacillation in the polls, it gets easier.

She puts it all in one package.

She officially kicked ass today. It was good to hear her, again, on fire.

Romney bussed in a big crowd yesterday. Students who filled the hall, did their straw poll vote and headed back out the door. Santorum clearly had the biggest following this week. All three did well in their speech. Romney went conservative and hit social issues. Newt was great, but seems to have lost his momentum with the base.

Romney’s not the first to do this bussing. Paul did it the previous two years and other in years past. I am noting because it impacted the outcome of the straw poll.
