GOP ‘Sons-A-Bitches’ Going Soft On Gunwalking, Says Blogger Who Broke ‘Fast And Furious’
TPM Muckraker ^ | 2/3/12 | Ryan J. Reilly

Mike Vanderboegh is drinking Diet Mountain Dew in the cafeteria of the Rayburn building on Capitol Hill, and he is pissed.

Not because his flight from Alabama was almost “as bumpy as [his] first marriage,” nor because he almost got into a physical altercation with an “idiot street urban adventurer” outside the National Archives who said Vanderboegh looked like Newt Gingrich.

The former militia man turned gun rights blogger is angry because he thinks the Republican “sons-a-bitches” on the House Oversight Committee put on the “ultimate display of public limp dickery” during a Thursday hearing in which Attorney General Eric Holder testified about ATF’s botched Operation Fast and Furious.

It was Vanderboegh who in late 2010, following the death of border patrol agent Brian Terry, published the first hint that the federal government told gun dealers to sell semi-automatic weapons to suspected “straw purchasers” they believed were buying them for drug cartels.

Donations from readers of his Sipsey Street Irregulars blog helped him fly out to Washington, D.C. this week for the hearing. Sporting a homemade press pass in a badge holder branded with an NRA logo, Vanderboegh watched from behind the press table as Republicans grilled Holder about what he knew when about the flawed operation in which agents lost track of about 2,000 weapons, many of which have been found at crime scenes in Mexico.

Vanderboegh wasn’t impressed.

GOP: The Vagina Demagogues

There’s some irony in the fact that the topic is the timidity of the Republicans and some here are tut-tutting “potty language.”

An "ultimatum" of what? Ever hear of "separation of powers"? The obama administration will stall everything until after the election. Just like Clinton did.

The Republicans have FOX News, talk radio and the opinion page of the Wall Street Journal. That's IT. The entire rest of the broadcast media, Hollywood, every union, left-wing NGO and Democrat controlled agency is protecting Obama. They have been trying to destroy Issa since before the '10 election and he never backed down.

This constant trashing of the Republicans is ignorant and disgusting.

Quite frankly, “The ultimate display of public limp dickery” is the best damn description of the GOP I’ve ever heard, and should be their official motto from this point on.

“The responsibility of leading is simply too daunting for them.”

It’s worse than that. It’s a business decision. If they can gain the Senate, keep the House, they can take care of benefactors, therefore, they make more money.

On top of that, they have cover for leaving Obamacare in place. So, they can generate more government jobs for themselves, and their co-conspirators.

I believe the RNC doesn’t want to win the White House. They want to control Congress, pretend to be opposition, while assisting the Democrats in running roughshod over the people.

Remember how Trent Lott let Clinton off the hook completely then patted himself on the back for doing so, then got tossed into a pool of hungry sharks because he made a comment at Jesse Helms B-day party?

That was another GOP ultimate display of public limp dickery. Seriously, deb, the GOP is composed of absolute fail front to back, inside and out, and I really don’t see any point in being all nice nice about it any more.

The only ignorant thing here is you.

Did you not live through the Bush Presidency? Asking and “ultimatum of what” is as asinine, but only slightly more sophisticated than saying “nuh uh!”

It is not my job to teach you civics. If you don’t understand what “powers” are separated, or how they are used to influence the other branches of government, you need to try a little high school before you get into discussions with the adults.

Again... on what do you want Issa to give the White House an ultimatum? I'm just asking. Like the Clintons, they are getting ready to claim everything is "executive privilege" and require the Republicans to take each claim to the Supremes. And FYI, Holder is ALREADY claiming separation of powers. And it doesn't have to be valid to eat up time till after the election.

But, answer... what do you want Issa to give an ultimatum about?

And the Bush administration has nothing to do with anything. The media and entire popular culture was against him. Like with Reagan and Nixon and Bush I, the Left harangued him in the press, drove down his poll numbers and got "private" groups to come out against him. Don't you remember The Jersey Girls? The Democrat media controls the public opinion of the country and the media is PROTECTING Barak Obama. But, hey, let's keep attacking the people trying to stop him. Genius.

John Ross is still alive and doing a follow up book to UC.

As for the article... The Author completely missed the point that Mike and Co have dirt on other operations JUST LIKE F&F in other parts of the Country and one linked to gun running to Puerto Rico.

So no... This isn't one Conspiracy Theorist Freaks paranoid ramblings... This sh*t is for real and happening RIGHT NOW.

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that American government is some sort of ongoing plebiscite among the readers of People Magazine.

Yours is precisely the kind of “what do you want me to do” evasion that has the Republicans hemorrhaging support.

A congressional ultimatum is not the same thing as Issa issuing contempt citations, but I understand how someone who uses the “whirling dervish...none of that counts” tactic would try to conflate the two.

Grow the hell up! The media is NEVER going to give approval to conservatives or the rule of law, so stop pissing and whining that no one will “like” us and act like an adult instead of a reality show contestant.

Bump to that.

I don't know what some people expect. In late Sep. there were only 13 congress critters calling for Holder to resign. Now it's over 103 plus two Senators and several governors. Issa and Grassley have limited authority and they are using what they have to methodically build a case and compile depositions. Just last night on Van Susteren's show he said he has more depositions to take.

Wow, glad I took your advice.

“If you don’t quote me on anything in this interview, you quote me on this: if the rule of law does not protect the people from the government, it doesn’t protect the government from the people, alright,” Vanderboegh said.

Such a theory ignores the fact that “gun walking” tactics were used in ATF’s Phoenix office during the George W. Bush administration.

This article is liberal propaganda. The idea that guns "walked" under Bush's watch won't fly. In F&F guns were intentionally allowed to "walk." In fact the terms "walk" and "walking" were coined by ATF agents for intentionally letting guns get out of their control as opposed to losing them due to bad circumstances. ATF field agents also testified under oath that they had never heard of letting guns "walk" before F&F. It's all right here...

The Department of Justice ’ s Operation Fast and Furious: Accounts of ATF Agents

Issa can produce numerous agents who can and will testify that "walking" guns never happened before 0bungles and WithHolder were in charge. Who or what can the Dems bring as evidence to the contrary? Nothing. It's a bluff and a rather stupid bluff at that.

You would perhaps prefer eloquent lies ? The man spoke honestly from the heart on the subject of the Republican party yet again going spineless and this time it is about dirty cops from the Office of the Attorney General all the way down to any bet the newest recruits.

The Dept. of Justice is in fact needing a house cleaning that would make the mass grave filling purges of Joseph Stalin look like a bunch of Sunday school kindergartners singing “Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so”.

I wish bloggers on our side would keep it clean. That potty-mouth garbage is a staple of the Left.

I wish people wouldn't fall into the trap of ignoring the message because they don't like the color of the paper it is printed on.

Not that it is justification, but first: we are ignored if we say things nicely.

Second: I have heard both terms ("pissed", and "bitch") used on TV. Offensive or otherwise, they are in common use. Even the channels which 'beep' things out are down to a lot of beeps with an occasional word.

While some will find the language offensive, it is difficult to speak or write using language outrageous enough for emphasis, even with 'serious' profanity, another legacy of the Liberals.
