In recent years I've avoided "pink ribbon" grocery items, even of products I normally buy.
My cousin posted this on Facebook.

You know, I bet if that Keystone Pipeline transported aborted babies instead oil, I’ll be the liberals would have approved it.
Only saw it reported once, but I heard that PP got a huge sympathy boost in donations after Komen yanked funding. Then the reportage returned to the usual crap about Komen caving to pro-lifers. Now they really have caved, and it’ll be reported as a victory for women’s health care.
While excited at the prospect that that they wouldn’t be funding Planned Parenthood, I was a bit disheartened by the way they had worded their decision. They didn’t say they would no longer fund Planned Death because Planned Death takes the lives of unborn children. That, to me, would have indicated they had truly woken up. Rather, they said they wouldn’t fund Planned Death because Planned Death is under investigation, thus leading me to believe they would resume their funding after the investigation. I was hoping, however, that they would see they could get more donations during this period of time and decide not to go back. Alas, the pro-death machine beat their drums and threw an epic tantrum at the fact that Komen would no longer be funding an unborn child murdering outfit like Planned Death, and Komen, who was likely going to resume funding post-investigation anyway, caved like a house of cards.
What astounds me is how anyone could ever think of Komen as anything other than a PC-leftist slush fund. Breast cancer? Gimme a break, it was always about the money.
I will never fund another KOMEN event as I have in the past. I will not fund any organization that funds hate-filled leftwing baby butchers.
I wonder if Komen funds research into the hypothesis that abortion can increase the incidence of breast cancer????
EODGUY
Komens decision to initially stop its contributions to PP was a calculated ploy to increase contributions to Komen. Once contributions to Komen increased 100 fold, Komen reverts back to contributing to PP. A simple marketing ploy, nothing more.
It should have read: saving already born women’s lives.
Give the pink back - to the babies.
Not surprising. Komen is an ultra-leftist org anyway. I didn’t think they would ignore their constituents.

FRC Responds to Susan G. Komen’s Reconsideration of Abortion-Neutral Stance
February 03, 2012
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Family Research Council responded today to news reports that Susan G. Komen for the Cure may be loosening its grant eligibility requirements and also reconsidering its abortion-neutral stance. The Komen statement released today doesn’t promise new funding for Planned Parenthood but does make future funding an open question.
Jeanne Monahan, Family Research Council’s Director for the Center for Human Dignity, had the following to say:
“The Susan G Komen Foundation made two policy changes this week to ensure money would be better spent to save women’s lives. The first policy change ensured that grants are more directly focused on results. Planned Parenthood does not perform mammograms. The second new requirement is that Komen will not award money to organizations that are under federal investigation. Both of these policy decisions ensure money would be better spent to save women’s lives while also making Susan G. Komen abortion-neutral.
“It would be heartbreaking for women who suffer from breast cancer if Planned Parenthood has bullied Komen into loosening their higher standards. Women deserve the best. Komen should stay focused on saving lives, not supporting the nation’s largest abortion provider.
“It is truly unbelievable that the nation’s largest abortion provider has been able to take what has been considered one of America’s most well respected and beloved organizations and demonize it overnight for simply making their grants results-oriented. Planned Parenthood is putting their abortion ideology above the health of women,” concluded Monahan.
This whole country is full of cowards. Which is just one of many reasons this country is headed straight to hell.

Grievous.
“Redbob apologizes for recent decisions, pledges to discontinue funding of the Susan G Komen Foundation”
There are other charities out there who don’t fund abortions.
So, after their fund raising increased by 100% (read: they’d raked in the dough from those folks who want to help others but not kill babies), they had a convenient change of heart and decided to use all that newly found money on the very same projects those who gave it find so abominable.
Yep, sounds about right. Welcome to Barry’s World.
