President Barack Obama tied his proposal to raise taxes on wealthy Americans to his faith on Thursday, telling leaders gathered for the National Prayer Breakfast that Jesus’ teachings have led him to that conclusion.
The rich pay more not only because “I actually think that is going to make economic sense, but for me as a Christian, it also coincides with Jesus’s teaching that ‘for unto whom much is given, much shall be required.’” Obama said at the Washington Hilton, delivering remarks at an annual event that every president has attended since Dwight D. Eisenhower.
“We can all benefit from turning to our creator, listening to him,” Obama said. “Avoiding phony religiosity…. This is especially important right now when we’re facing some big challenges as a nation.”
“When I talk about our financial institutions playing by the same rules as folks on Main Street, when I talk about making sure insurance companies aren’t discriminating against those who are already sick or making sure that unscrupulous lenders aren’t taking advantage of most vulnerable among us,” Obama said, “I do so because I genuinely believe it will make the economy stronger for everybody, but I also do it because I know far too many neighbors in our country have been hurt and treated unfairly over the last few years. And I believe in God’s command to ‘love thy neighbor as thyself.’”

I am also offended by Barack Hussein Obama claiming to know the heart of Jesus Christ.
Obama was the son of an agnostic American woman who was hostile to Chritianity and the USA - and the son of a marxist Kenyan who was a Muslim. He was adopted by his mom’s second (first?) husband, an Indonesian who was also a Muslim. It is well documented that while living in Indonesia Barry Soetero (his adoptive father’s name was Soetero) attended Friday prayer services at a mosque with his step-father. That is why Obama made the statement that he thought one of the most beautiful sounds in the world was the “call to prayer” from the mosques on Fridays. Don’t forget also that George Stephanopoulis corrected Obama’s statement when Barack Obama mentioned “my Muslim faith” during an interview, and sweet litttle Georgie-porgie interupted with, “You mean your Christian faith, don’t you?”
So, in order to claim a Christian belief he and Michele attended a church of pot pouri beliefs, part Christian, part Muslim, part Unitarian, very Marxist and very anti-white/anti-American. With such a background and with no other exposure to authentic Christianity, we are supposed to believe him when he says he’s a Christian. Just one more document that we will never see is a certificate of baptism in a Christian Church.
I wish POTUS Obama would quit mentioning that he’s a Christian. It’s a scandalous claim considering his lack of real moral values.

We are told that many will fall away and that there are few who will stay faithful but it’s still saddening to watch as so many who have been deluded into believing they are Christians follow error. Those who put someone or something between themselves and Christ will be lost for eternity.
He always invokes something he does not believe in. Very offensive indeed.

Did you hear Pelosi reading scriptures today....they are prepping for the “religious” push against Romney.
We know the Democrates are going to go after Romney’s Mormonism...they are being vocal, how be it missing the mark, quoting Christ and or reading scriptures...and this in full view of the audiance because they’re laying the ground work for a religious war in this election.
Remenber obama has nothing to stand on...so making it about religion , class warfare, racism and all the other issues are just their means of dividing us all the further....this is playbook Alynski.

Interesting is Romny's Mormon, not Christian but "something else counterfeiting as such"....just as he's counterfeiting he's Republican. Newt's had an encounter with the risen Christ and no doubt in a crucibal as a trial of his faith. Newt's a proud man and I think it was no mistake he fell headfirst getting off his mark in the beginning of his run......it will not be by Newt's might he wins this election...it will because God moves him. I cannot help but often think of Gideon who went to war...he had an army which God kept lowering the numbers over and over til he had only a "few good men" to go to war against a formidable army....the victory would be only with a few so that the people would see it was by Gods hands not theirs they win the victory.
Lord, remember Gideon when you think of Newt....
I have never seen this type of battle before, Gods will be done.
I believe that God establishes governments a and I'll tell you what. If anyone but Newt of some really conservative Christian wins this election, I'll be convinced that the end is WAY closer that we ever expected.
If obama gets re-elected, it'll be time to climb onto the roof top.
