The family of murdered Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry has filed a $25-million lawsuit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, claiming "negligence" and "a violation of ATF's own policies and procedures" resulting in the death of their son.
A separate lawsuit against The Lone Wolf Trading Company stated that "but for defendants' negligent and illegal sales ... Brian Terry would not have been murdered."
Terry was killed when his unit was ambushed near the Arizona-Mexico border on the night of December 14, 2010. Two AK-47s found at the scene were part of an ATF gun-walking operation allowing the illegal purchase of weapons by straw buyers, who then sold them to a Mexican drug cartel.
Interviewed by Fox News in November, Terry's mother expressed the general feeling of anyone now familiar with Fast and Furious.
If they never let the guns walk, maybe Brian would not have been out that day[.] ... I just can't believe our own government came up with a program like this that [let] innocent people get killed."
Attorney General Eric "My People" Holder, whose Department of Justice oversees the ATF, has claimed for over a year that he knew nothing about the logic-defying, deadly, and secretive program known as Fast and Furious. President Obama has shielded Holder from charges of perjury, obstruction, and conspiracy.
In October Obama stated that he has "complete confidence" in his Attorney General.
He has been very aggressive in going after gunrunning and cash transactions that are going to these transnational drug cartels in Mexico. He's indicated he was not aware of what was happening in Fast and Furious...

First, I don't support suing the gun store, they were acting for the ATF in these sales. Any dealer would be in a tough position in a case like this because the agency trying to get you to help can also shut you down.
Second, is that they aren't suing the Border Patrol for violating their own use of force policy, sending some of the members of his BORTAC team into the field with less than lethal rounds. If you know somebody is armed you should never start with non lethal shotgun rounds. They sound like real rounds going off. What kind of response do you expect from bad guys in that situation?
Will be the top story on the evening news tonight. A Whitewater style cover-up will be covered all over the world. Dang it, I meant Watergate!
Very oddly worded (from Obama’s October 2011 statement):
“He’s indicated he was not aware of what was happening in Fast and Furious. Certainly I was not. And I think both he and I would have been very unhappy if somebody had suggested that guns were allowed to pass through that could have been prevented by the United States of America.”
The good thing about including Lone Wolf Trading Company is that Lone Wolf’s lawyer/s will use their forced participation as their primary defense. That will get more negative publicity for Holder and the ATF and open up a lot of ATF/DOJ files for discovery.
In case you missed it ping.
thou, everything i-bama says is oddly worded. American isn’t his first language.

Some noteworthy articles about politics, foreign or military affairs, IMHO, FReepmail me if you want on or off my list.
Agreed.
Hopefully knowledge of Holder's Fast & Furious operation will grow legs, and get blown wide open to the public.
Even if they win against BATFE-DOJ, those responsible will not be the ones to pay.
It will just be another decimal point of expense to the federal budget.
After the appeals are run out, in about fifteen years.
It's very odd English, IMHO.
Hes indicated he was not aware of what was happening in Fast and Furious. Certainly I was not..."
Indicated? How so? That, and he felt the need to affirm his ignorance.
“Issa is supposed to have Holder testify today, February 2, 2012. If Holder shows up, it should be on C-Span.”
I dont think this is going to be on C-SPAN tomorrow!!! As of this hour, it is not on any of the 3 C-SPAN channel line-ups!
However, Issa has set up a live feed here. Hearing begins at 9am, EST:

The families of the 300+ Mexican citizens and LEOs killed with F&F weapons should follow the Terry family and file their own lawsuits. That would kick up some dust.
Thanks for the link!
Hes indicated he was not aware of what was happening in Fast and Furious. Certainly I was not."
Does that not seem a disguised admission of knowledge of an operation known as Fast and Furious, while denying a knowledge of "what was happening" "IN"/WITHIN (i.e, its day-to-day operations) Fast and Furious? At the least, in legalese, can this be construed that Obama admits he had no knowledge of the existence of F&F? I don't think so.
"And I think both he and I would have been very unhappy if somebody had suggested that guns were allowed to pass through that could have been prevented by the United States of America.
That is nothing more than a statement of a hypothetical emotional state-of-mind in reaction to a hypothetical "suggestion." It says nothing more than that Obama and Holder are theoretically capable of "unhappiness."

PS--- Neverdem: Please add me to your ping list.
If this forces Lone Wolf to fold, it will be a sleetstorm in Hell before any other arms dealer cooperates with any sting short of a court order.
Does it look like they fed a Kenyan text through Babelfish? :-)
