It's very odd English, IMHO.
Hes indicated he was not aware of what was happening in Fast and Furious. Certainly I was not..."
Indicated? How so? That, and he felt the need to affirm his ignorance.
Hes indicated he was not aware of what was happening in Fast and Furious. Certainly I was not."
Does that not seem a disguised admission of knowledge of an operation known as Fast and Furious, while denying a knowledge of "what was happening" "IN"/WITHIN (i.e, its day-to-day operations) Fast and Furious? At the least, in legalese, can this be construed that Obama admits he had no knowledge of the existence of F&F? I don't think so.
"And I think both he and I would have been very unhappy if somebody had suggested that guns were allowed to pass through that could have been prevented by the United States of America.
That is nothing more than a statement of a hypothetical emotional state-of-mind in reaction to a hypothetical "suggestion." It says nothing more than that Obama and Holder are theoretically capable of "unhappiness."

Does it look like they fed a Kenyan text through Babelfish? :-)
