The Haditha incident is finally over for our family. It has been a grueling 6+ years for all of us and time for us to start over.
The decision our son made at his court martial was the right one for him and his three girls. A decision that made all of us proud. Proud of his courage, proud of his outstanding ability to take responsibility for the actions of his squad, proud of the life he has made for his girls.
Although some of you may disagree with his decision, it was the best one for him and his family and we stand by him unconditionally.
To those who have stood behind our son for the past 6+ years, there are no words to express our gratitude. You have shown your love and support by your words and actions. For that we will always be indebted to you. We could not have made it without you.
As we begin to try to heal our wounds, we hope you will keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

May God bless and keep them, every one.

We are glad to see this turned out as well as could be expected, short of complete exoneration (which would have been appropriate). Our sons did 5 tours in Iraq with the USMC, one was gravely injured, a CT Marine. But Frank has paid a great cost over the years, waiting for his name to be cleared, waiting to achieve some justice for his service and sacrifice.
Best wishes for only happy times for your family for the future.

For all of us who have been supportive of our men and women in uniform I ask that you remember it doesn't end here. Let's NEVER forget that John Murtha gave aid and comfort to our enemies in trying to take the careers and freedom from these Marines.
We owe it to everyone who has served this wonderful country to join the effort to TAKE ACTION and stop the naming of a commissioned ship after John Murtha.
Bump!
May God Bless him and your whole family.
Thank you so much for posting this, Mom.
It’s wonderful for all of you that this is finally over, it’s something none of you should have had to go through in the first place.
Frank made the absolute right decision and an honorable one, your family will be together again.
May God Bless you all!
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
May God be with you and bless you:
May you see your children’s children.
May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.
May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near.
May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.
It was easy and the right thing to do supporting you and the other Marine families. Fellow freepers are pretty awesome people too! Live well!
I signed the petition, proudly and gratefully.
With prayers and HooooooooAh!
God Bless You!
Ooh-rah!
I can’t imagine sending my son off to the USMC, having him go off to Iraq risking his life, and then watching that same outfit prosecute this case against him and his buddies. I have total respect and admiration for Marines, but I have virtually no respect for the USMC brass and Pentagon powers-that-be.
Alas, he did make the right decision for him and his kids. God bless the entire Wuterich family.
Your son is a hero.
May God bless and keep your family!!!

I believe the current SecNav, a former Democrat governor of Mississippi, is the one who picked the name for the new amphibious transport ship. We can only hope he gets voted out before they complete the build.
Rosemarie, not sure that I can express my thoughts any better than RedRover has in post #16. Besides, my screen is blurry from the tears welled-up in my eyes.
God Bless you all and God Bless all our Haditha Marines and their families.
Thank you for taking the time to post this.
As has been said already, many of us here will never forget Frank's strength and honor.
Your family does have my thoughts, prayers, and respect. And thank you for raising such a wonderful son who has served us (his country, squad, and the Marine Corps) well.
God’s best to each of you as you move forward in His grace and with His blessing.
I trust Frank will do well in his new career path(s), and find grace and strength from God to remain “always faithful” in all the obligations and relationships he has been entrusted with.
Enjoy your son and granddaughters!
How very true.
Your son is Home, Alive, in one piece and still young enough to be able to work and make a living.
God Bless you and your family! :)

WOW! Thanks for posting, Semper Fi Mom. God bless you, Frank, your families and your friends. America’s finest.
Thanks to families and friends of all who have served, all who are serving and all who will serve in the future.
