On Saturday nights Justice with Jeanine on the Fox News Channel, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin once again stopped just short of giving former House Speaker Newt Gingrich her outright endorsement for the Republican nomination.
In her appearance, she explained that despite criticisms of Gingrichs long career in Washington, D.C., she doesnt consider him part of the establishment because that same establishment is trying to hard to keep him from becoming the nominee.

I would expect she does not want to offend any of the supporters of Santorum or even Dr Paul; as their support may be needed down the road. Also, it is possible that in a given state either Dr Paul or Santorum may be the best chance to beat Romney. If that happens, she wants to be able to get the other candidates supporters to shift to that candidate. By keeping everybody in the race now it gives her credibility and leverage to act as an impartial negotiator amongst all parties.
This is not just about Newt; it's about the survival of the Tea Party.
Not only are they pissed off that she praises Newt, but double whammy, she disses Romney..who is Fox’s guy, they swoon over him constantly. I just wish they would release her from her contract already so that she can just say it “I ENDORSE NEWT”
WHAT A SMUG WITCH - THAT JUDGE JEANNINE.
Classless. Desperately, trying to look 20 years younger than her age.

Hi Onyx and TitansAFC!!
Yes, please add me (dayglored) to the Newt 4 Prez ping list.
As you know, I had my heart set on Sarah Palin for Prez, and if the GOP-e deny Newt that opportunity, I have already sworn I will write in "Sarah Palin" come November.
But I hope that Newt prevails both before the convention and in the November election.
Thank you very much!!!
I agree with your analysis...well stated.
Sarah is smart to keep her support as is, for now. Just having Sarah mention "Vote for Newt...annoy a liberal" is of great value to Newt.
Thanks to those who posted the interview. I'm in the process of watching Newt's speech from earlier tonight. From the looks of that thread...it must've been another hit-out-of-the-park night for Newt.
The point she was trying to make was that the GOP v. Obama polls are meaningless at this point in time. That Romney losing by less than Newt, or Newt having higher negatives, etc., is going to change between now and November.
The judge was hanging her hat on the current polling. That's what all the "doing the math" jargon was about - current popularity polling.
I think, and others have posted, that the reason is a prohibition in her Fox contract. Sounds right to me.
Sorry, couldn't resist, needed a smile tonight :^)
Well, I took the Governor’s advice this morning down here in sunny South Florida! Two thumbs up for early voting !!
Go Newt !!
I think that we have TWO good candidates!
Didja listen for the little snicker when Sarah was talking about the pundits and elites? VERY obvious .. and thoroughly transparent and unprofessional.
*Laffer
She will fight for us Tea Partiers, not use and abuse our name like so many out there.
I am proud to be her supporter and also to see Newt to the end of this fight
And thank you Onyx for your kind words.
Go Sarah, Go Newt, Go Tea Party!
LOL! Governor Palin says: “Rage against The Machine, vote for Newt, annoy a liberal!”
Governor Perry, Herman Cain, Sarah Palin and Michael Reagan: I humbly thank you all for your public service to our country.
I dunno. If so, Fox is sure playing fast and loose by allowing other of their "talent" to ask, outright, who she is endorsing; or if she will endorse, etc. I think Palin is forbidden from having a regular paid gig at the same time she is a declared candidate.
I think she's signaling people to vote for Gingrich in the FL race, in as strong a terms as she thinks give her plausible deniability, and holding her fire for future races depending on what develops. If she comes out and endorses, she loses that flexibility; and also damages her value as a prognosticator. Why have her on any more? If she takes a position, she becomes predictable - probably hitting herself in the wallet, and also losing the venue.
Thank you, Onyx, for all that you do and have done for FR and Newt!
Yes she does! Go Sarah, Go Newt! We have got to stop Mitt. We have got to win Florida!
