Paul denies report that he approved newsletters

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul on Friday flatly denied a Washington Post report that he was deeply involved in the company that produced provocative, racially charged newsletters and that he signed off on articles.

The newsletters from the 1990s have dogged Paul for years, resurfacing as his presidential campaign gained momentum. The Texas congressman has denied writing the inflammatory passages — the articles included racial, anti-Semitic and anti-gay content — and said that he didn't read them at the time or for years afterward.

Cool, Paul is polling what 10-20% in the GOP primaries? I think yall are doing a great job of pushing votes to Obama, keep up the good work

Paulbots are never going to vote for a Republican. They did not vote for one last time and it does not matter who wins this time they will not vote Republican. They are pro-gay dopers who hate our military and will support the candidate who praises our enemies the most.

In any case he was not drafted to serve in Vietnam. I read where he left the service shortly before the big buildup there. in 1965 just as the Vietnam War was getting serious, Ron Paul left active duty and spent the rest of his career in the Air National Guard.

Then in 1968, when the Vietnam War was at its height, Ron Paul resigned his commission and left the service.

just found this. Kind of funny it was on his site for 3 years: The Protocols of the Elders of Ron Paul (Update: Screen Shot Added)

It’s not just the newsletters of years ago. According to Adam Taxin of the NY Jewish Examiner, Paul’s website has been publicizing and distributing the infamous anti-Semitic forgery The Protocols of the Meetings of the Elders of Zion for the last three years! Writes Taxin: The website for “Campaign for Liberty”, an organization started by “Republican” anti-Israel Presidential candidate Ron Paul, has, since late 2008, been featuring a page offering the opportunity to purchase the notorious forged anti-Semitic book The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion. As word spreads of this, inevitably Paul’s campaign will take down the page and claim the situation was a mere innocent mistake with which Paul (who of course hopes to lend his managerial skills to the entire nation) had nothing to do, a la the controversy over his newsletters in the 1990s. This of course despite the fact that the page with the link has now been up for over three years.

They’re not going to vote for the GOP if Ron Paul doesn’t get the nomination.

If a man or human errs on the side of evil, even so slightly, are they eternally damned? I hope not for I know evil too. But an even better question might be, is it more evil to cast a repentant man as evil, even thou he has confessed his sins and seeks G*d forgiveness then it is to deny forgiveness? Shall we cast out all that have transgressed but are repentant? Who amongst us is so pure that they shall not also be casted out by a mob that seeks not goodness and forgiveness but power by a perversion of His desire to bring us all sinner and saint to His grace. God's gift to us is a chance to be with Him in heaven. The only thing that matters here on Earth is that you use this time to gain entry into the Kingdom of Heaven. Do not bare false witness, please I beg of you, don't.

Don't you make your living from the fruits of the bar you own and run?

Christians sometimes go to bars in weakness, but they aren't proud of it, because bars are for the more private pleasures, the darker impulses, the place of the other side, where we indulge the passions that we hope God isn't watching us indulge and be seduced by.

To be the overlord of all that action, the boss man, the gold collecting host and enabler of the drunken play palace, and then to play the holy man, the morally superior to those on this thread, when pushing a racist, Stormfront hero, and con man?

Well, maybe it does fit in the Ron Paul bizarro world.

I see, lol, owning a little beer joint in Texas makes me immoral. hmmm? I'll have to think about that. At one time not very long ago my little community of 2500 or so has 57 beer joints, lol we are down to about 5 or 6 counting the VFW and the American Legion. A beer joint only sells beer and wine not hard liquor. So I think, once again you've jumped to another wrong conclusion.

Curious why are you so big on judging everyone? Looking for dark secrets. I'm not the one castings stones and while I admit I am not a very good Christian I am a Christian and everyone in my world including my customers knows it. As for money the beer joint makes very little but it does keep food on the table for 2 single moms, one 76 year old grandmother and 1 56 year old man that is no longer able to shrimp for a living. As for me I am a retired xNASA kinda guy living on a fixed income of not a whole lot. Property taxes are starting to hurt but hopefully I'll be bale to keep up with them.

Hope to see you on a thread we can find a little common ground.

LOL, It meant nothing at all, at least not worth mentioning, until you tried the Holy man, holier than thou, preacher routine to push the racist, stormfront guy, devoting yourself to the bar business, is not the act of a pious, holier than thou, devout man that you tried to use as a bludgeon to push your distasteful bigot, rascist of a con man.

Has the surrender monkey ever asked for forgiveness for blaming America for 9/11, or for condemning our military for trying to keep America as safe as possible? When Cut and Run starts condemning the terrorists who want to destroy America as much as he condemns our military who want to protect us I will take another look.
