We will risk the fairly safe assumption, as this is being written, that Air Force One did not make an appearance at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport sometime Thursday....
You almost have to laugh at this latest chapter in the seemingly endless birther saga, because about the only alternatives at this point are tears and/or nausea.
It was embarrassing enough when members of the Georgia legislature -- including, to Columbus acute humiliation, two members of the local delegation -- drafted a Presidential Eligibility Assurance Act in the last legislative session.
Now Georgians get to enjoy the added spectacle of their secretary of state, Brian Kemp, warning the president (let that sink in -- warning the president) through a White House attorney that failure to appear in a Georgia court would be at your own peril....
Peach Pundit editor Charlie Harper, in a blog published this week in the Savannah Morning News, wrote: This is a mistake. We are taught from a young age that we will be judged by the company we keep The birther argument transcends disagreements of policy and politics and spirals into pure nuttery. How true.
Georgia, no thanks to some judgment-impaired officials and certainly without the consent of the governed, has been slumming in the Orly Taitz nuttery neighborhood way too long. Please, for the sake of the states already battered image, lets just quietly tiptoe out of this putrid political ghetto and back to the daylight side of town before we attract any more ridicule....

And this is why people think you are a LIAR. You claim to consider the whole issue "flapdoodle", yet when you are told something, you fire back with opposition crib notes.
This is not the act of someone who considers the issue "flapdoodle" this is the act of someone intentionally trying to run interference for this scam.
Wong Kim Ark was ruled a "citizen" not a "natural born citizen", and that is all the time I'm going to waste attempting to educate you.
Why would they change their method of “argument” on this case?
They NEVER address any issue based on the merits of the issue.
Welfare demonstrably destroys families. The liberal answers “you’re a racist”.
Global Warming is a hoax based on junk science. The liberal “explains”, “you hate the earth”.
etc, etc, etc
NOPE! Not the same thing at all!
Please consider contributing before the ban.
"i.e." means "that is" or "in essence". You've handwaved over two different terms that mean different things and declared them to mean the same thing.
Because if they acknowledge he is a utter simpleton failure, it will mean their political enemies were right all along, and the one thing they cannot stand is to admit that they were stupid and duped.
They would honestly rather wreck the country than admit Sarah Palin was right.
Wrong, try again.
Enjoy your skullgull.
“The dolphin is a swimming creature, ie, a fish.”
Excellent comments at the link after the article.
Where are you getting this stuff? There is no requirement for a President to be on the ballot in all states -- Lincoln wasn't (not on the ballot in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas), for example.
This troll hasn’t been zotted yet? “Inconceivable!”
That is correct! If BOTH of the candidates parents were citizens at the time of his birth then their actual birthplace is of no consequence. If either of his parents was NOT a citizen at the time of his birth then he is NOT a natural born citizen and not eligible to be president.
OBAMA please go...
Please go home....
Ken YA!
He was ruled a citizen who did not need to be naturalized to become a citizen -- i.e. he was a citizen by virtue of the circumstances of his birth, aka a "natural born citizen".
LOL!
VERY good! Makes the point perfectly!
Not in certain terms which is why it is imperative that SCOTUS finally takes this case up and defines exactly what Natural born citizenship is meant to be.
For me and for a very large number in this country - it means Natural (born of citizens) - No allegiance to any other country. Who in their right mind would want a President or Vice President that could be called to war in another country because they are still a citizen of that country. If not called to war they are unable to defend us against that country due to their allegiance with that country!
Ludicrous!
*cough*
Obammy’s daddy was not and never was a US citizen, pass it on.
A "citizen by birth" is not the same thing as a "natural born citizen." Aldo Mario Bellei of Rogers v Bellei was a "citizen at birth" but he lost his citizenship for failure to meet residency requirements. There ARE no residency requirements for a "natural born citizen."
It is another lie to argue that a "citizen at birth" mean the same thing as "natural born citizen."
Citizen by birth
You added the i.e. natural born citizen.
Citizen by birth does not translate to natural born citizen. You can have a Mexican woman run across the border, give birth on our land and that child is now a citizen by birth. Do you call that a natural born citizen? Could that child be President? I would love an answer on that!
Hey, so I waited until after my second cup of coffee... sue me.
