Hosted by Wolf Blitzer at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. Candidates: Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul.
Word is the audience will be "allowed" to participate.
I missed a lot of zots last night. WOW. Better find and update my list soon.
Just talked to a pal of mine who also tried and failed to get tickets and he just said a similar thing to me.
He said that he was told that the tickets would be distributed out by the RNC and that less than half would go to the public.
This is outrageous what the establishment is doing, disgusting.
They have gone all out to get this man and they saw how the crowd in SC worked for Newt so they now stacked the crowd with their lot to give Romney a boost
Livius, I’;m near you in the same town but we’re mostly , infact nearly all conservatives here. I admit down town is bad due to the artsy lot and the students but get away form there and you’re sound.
Our county does not even have a Dem in power and totally run by republicans
Forget the fact that Santorum was on of the biggest spenders in the Senate, and he backed Arlen Specter, and his voting record resembles that of Lindsay Graham and Olympia Snowe. Not to mention that he is absolutely proud of his record of sucking up every Earmark that ever became available to him.
No, those things don't matter, when you are sold a THE only “Conservative” in the race, especially when Santorum’s very moderate to Liberal record is completely overlooked or not even considered as a main criteria in evaluating him as a candidate.
Just remember, all that matters is the emotional involvement that voters take with them to the polls.
Cool yer jets kid...
go back and read what I wrote...
or is it that you are upset because last night your Willie Mitty looked more like a double for Scrooge than Brad Pitt ???
His second mistake, was when he made me show him my identification after I let him get back up off the floor. His eyes almost popped out of his head when he saw my combat status and current Military ID. (That is when the profuse apologies started my way, and I laughed harder than I had in over 2 years.)
And yes, I actually read what you posted several times before I posted to you. And what I said, still stands.
“Willie Mitty”?
Now, you are accusing me of being a Romney supporter?
For that, I do require an appology!
When the crowd laughed and clapped at just about everything Romney said, it was obvious the audience was stacked. Especially glaring was when he was mocking Gingrich for tailoring his campaign remarks to each city he was campaigning in. How absolutely jerkified was Romney on that? He doesn’t care about any of the states or the people that reside in them, he only cares about winning.
He and his cheering section absolutely sicken me.
Did you notice how many question ended with Newt Gingrich said xxxxx, basically pitching a softball and inviting an attack on Newt, I was disgusted with Wolf. And Santorum plagiarizing a Newt speech at the end of a debate finished Santorum for me. Not that I was ever going to vote Santorum, but that was a bit much.
Well said. In a true debate, as opposed to this stilted media circus, I suspect Gingrich would eat everyone else’s lunch.
They can’t. The events are open to the public and all the Romney people are doing is talking to the press to counter Gingrich, not disrupting his events.
I think you just summarized WHY I am so in the tank for Newt!
Sadly, though, there are so many greedy lunkheads in this country, we’ll pass up our chance to have him as president. I can only pray we don’t. People just sometimes refuse to better themselves ...
Great graphic! Flame Thrower Zot!!
High praise, coming from you. Thanks.
You are just saying that a person has an absolute right to own a gun, until the day they no longer have that absolute right, and then they can’t own a gun.
In this case, your trigger is “they become a felon”; but an absolute right would be a right you had no matter what you did with it. A right cannot be an “absolute right” if it can be taken away.
I have the absolute right to my own opinion. There are probable other internalized “absolute rights”. Some rights are more universal than others — I have nearly the absolute right to life (realize we are talking about “absolute” relative to state action, not the “natural order” of things). There are a limited number of cases where the state finds that I have forfeited my right to life — but they do exist, for example if I kill another human being, then my right to life may no longer exist.
inalienable, in law means “Not subject to sale or transfer; inseparable.”
You could say we are arguing over definitions. You could even say the argument is circular on both sides - if there truly were no such thing as an “absolute right”, there would be no point in having the term “absolute right”. Why have a name for something that can’t exist?
But obviously that was not what Rick was talking about. He was correctly noting that NONE of our rights as expressed in the constitution are truly “absolute”, they all have boundaries. Your right to freely move your fist ends where my face begins.
The left treats rights as the freedom to impose their will on others. That is clearly something we need to fight back on.
If early death is ok by you, then I guess it is end of topic for you.
But if health and long life are desirable, then medical intervention has to be rejected; it is at best ineffective, and in modt cases hastens the end of life.
The body naturally removes cancer, arterial plaque, and malformations if fed real food. The NASA hype just clouds the mind.
“Does he care about this country AT ALL???”
He cares about his ego and nothing else. ME, ME, ME, ME,
It is all about me. “I’m the one that really done all those things that Speaker Gingrich is talking about. I was the one everyone came to with problems. ME, ME, ME”.
Throughout the history of the US, the USSC has repeatedly upheld the view expressed by Santorum, including justices such as Alito and Thomas. Your “roll tape” demonstrates your total misunderstanding if you believe Santorum is wrongheaded based on those quotes.
“and of course theres the fact that Rick too has been married to just one woman..
and then theres the social issues..Rick is pro-life etc..
Romney must hate Rick with a passion...”
If Willard the liberal thought Santorum was a threat he would air an AD telling the world that Santorum’s wife shacked up with an abortion doctor for years before her and Santorum were married. You better believe they know about the story. If he were a threat ABC would interview the doctor.
