their traditional methods of controlling us failed utterly

I abhor this victim mentality.

When it comes to character and morality, the Clintons (both of them) are lower than Newt.

Early Reagan and early Newt has some comparisons as far as marriage and affairs.

If the democrats and “moderates” can get moist over the prospects of a Clinton presidency redux as a great ear in US history, then can certainly look at Newt as capable of becoming the kind of determined charismatic leader this nation (and the world) needs!

The eurocrats are not going to like Newt any more than they liked Bush, but they will fare much better with him in charge of the US than anyone else on the horizon.

In the next 4 years we will have a nuclear armed Iran in axis with a belligerent Russia and China, an expansionist militaristic China with a gasping economy, the fall of the existing economic and social order in europe, America at a crossroads and having to live with whatever turn we lurch towards. And the continuing social rot being perpetrated on our children by “progressives” burrowed into every institution. The schools, the govt, the courts, the media.

Who do you trust most to show up on your TV screen at 3AM to announce US response ot news that Iran launched missiles at Israel because it refused UN occupation to enforce “social justice” for Gaza?

Mitt? Barack? or Newt.

In the next 4 years I could give 2 craps whether Newt is on wife 3 or 4. At least he marries his lovers and they are of the opposite sex.

Thankfully, only a politician as seriously flawed as Obama can lose to Obama and the GOP candidates’ warts are tiny zits compared to the many basketball boils on our Marxist president.

“Black-and-white” mentality takes one nowhere. This attitude that “If it’s my candidate, anything bad is a lie” is useless. I think Gingrich is the best of the bunch but this ostrich-like sticking the head in the sand is useless. We should, and Newt should, be open, honest and forthright about the way things really are, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

The only thing I can figure out is that maybe he is working hard to get all the dirt on Newt out now to diffuse the Obama attacks in the main election. Maybe there is some method to the madness, much like what Matt did with ABC story - make it a non-story by making it a story before it gets any legs.

At this point it's actually getting a little humorous. It appears Drudge is so desperate to damage Newt, he is just throwing everything negative out there just praying something will stick. It really wouldn't surprise me at this point to see a story posted that said “NEWT FAILS TO WASH HANDS AFTER USING BATHROOM CLAIMS STAFFER” or “NEWT THINKS SENIOR CITIZENS SMELL FUNNY, DOESN'T LIKE CHILDREN AS WELL” or perhaps “NEWT ONCE FAILED TO TIP HIS WAITER. DOES HE HATE THE POOR???”

Will be interesting to see if Limbaugh mentions this today during his GOP estab/media attack analysis today. It’s beyond obvious that Drudge is glaringly biased. Drudge should post a poll about it in his left column.

Yeah, and the MSM would never make up stories like that about Mitt Romney in the general election. Let’s nominate him instead.

Also, notice that for so many everything is a conspiracy. People who are seeing the flaws in both Romney and Newt are bad when they mention Newt’s shortcomings. Longterm conservatives become liberals overnight for not backing Newt. Some people are acting like the folks who blindly support Obama. We’re going to need to keep Newt or Romney faithful if, as I think, one of them is elected president.

Nov 14, 2011: Special report: The golden age of opposition research Original source – Reuters .....Overall, Romney is thought to have the best oppo team in this Republican primary, with Yost as chief of research and Matt Rhoades, another veteran of RNC opposition research, as campaign manager. No one in the Romney organization would comment.

*****************

....."Frustrated rivals think they know the secret: a low-profile, hard-driving Republican operative named Matt Rhoades, who is Romney’s campaign manager. Rhoades met DRUDGE, as POLITICO Editor-in-Chief John F. Harris and co-author Mark Halperin reported in their book “The Way to Win: Taking the White House in 2008,” when he became research director of the Republican National Committee and was introduced by his predecessor on a special trip to Miami. Rhoades has since been seen as a pipeline to the reclusive Drudge, who now has two veteran Washington reporters working on the site as well.".... Source

None of the other candidates even come close to having this amount of political dirt to dish!

Drudge didn’t write the stories. He didn’t ferret them out from obscurity or research them in the archives of history.

These are stories that are already out there, to which Drudge simply links.

If there are a thousand stories out there about Newt Gingrich, there will be many links to those stories on Drudge.

I lived through Gingrich’s Speakership as a politically aware human being and it was clear to me from the get-go that, should Gingrich become our nominee, this is EXACTLY what would happen.

Again, doesn’t mean we have an alternative. But it’s just not factually founded to see this as mere “bias” or “propaganda.” The stories exist, the stories are based on facts (though one may interpret those facts variously), and those stories WILL be thrown at Newt **regardless** of whether Drudge links to them or not.

Really? Then perhaps you’d explain the so called conservative republicans who are led by the nose by all they see and hear on TV/media, into supporting/embracing Romney?

Or is that just a figment of my imagination?

And how many of them spout anti-newt talking points on a site that Jim clearly stated that such was no longer welcome? They are either led or morons. Probably both.

Don’t act like it’s some big revelation that Coulter and maybe Drudge are supporting Romney.

SO WHAT.

They are fighting to persuade people to their point of view and so are we.

If Drudge uses the Drudge Report to support a candidate, it’s his site and his right to do so, just like FR is JimRob’s site.

It’s not like if Drudge doesn’t link to these stories, they go away and no one opposes Newt Gingrich.

“Or maybe it’s because Newt is a poor candidate and his flaws are becoming more apparent?”

Nonsense.

How about Matt Drudge is biased against Gingrich and clearly uses any and all opportunities to trash him?

I go to Drudge for the latest news and headlines, NOT to see him earn his Romney kneepads. In fact, I’ve stopped going there, since his bias is to blatant and disgusting.

Looks like we need to defeat the Republican Establishment as well as these self-serving pukes who have set themselves up as “our” spokesmen (or spokeswoman, in the case of Coulter).

Yes. The pattern is linking to stuff that will drive traffic and generate controversy.

That is all.

It’s really not sinister.
