I was forwarded an e-mail from a friend of mine who worked for Ann Richards. The content is how the Left strongly believes that Gov. Perry will be the VP regardless of whether Mitt or Newt wins. He helps Newt with the evangelicals and he would help Mitt bring the Right out to the polls.

Feh. I'm pulling for Sarah as VP.

And if not Sarah, then either Paul Rahe, Mark Steyn, Iowahawk, or Victor Davis Hanson.

I would rather see Newt win than Romney but when things were collapsing for the Republicans in 2006 most of these guys put their fingers in the wind and then promoted bad ideas. I look at guys like Pawlenty in MN. He was doing great until '06 and then when the polls started to shift he threw his lot in with guys like McCain and the so called Gang of Six.
