Two ships....
Hope all is well with you Miss Author....you won't forget us when you become famous right? :)
So proud of you! *Hugs*
Grammar is very important in the understanding of a sentence, especially in a statement of faith. (In the above as posted, I believe that the comma after "Republic" should be deleted.) When I was in 1st grade (1942) the Pledge was:
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands;
one nation, indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.
After the Korean War, "under God" was added as above. But now, considering the significance of a growing effort to remove any reference to God from the public eye, let me suggest that it ought to be changed to read:
"...one nation, under God indivisible,..."
which would reflect and recognize the fracturing of the spirit of unity around The Flag because of disloyalty to God and Country.
Amen.
Amen.

DID YOU KNOW?
Portugal is the world's largest producer of cork.
The country has regulations protecting cork trees dating back to 1320.
During the 1920s and 1930s, it became illegal to cut down the trees
other than for essential thinning
and removal of older non-producing trees.
George Washington had two ice cream freezers
installed at his home in Mount Vernon.
Jack Graney of St. Thomas, Ontario,
was the first baseball player to pitch
to Babe Ruth in the major leagues.
We all know what the Babe did in his career.
As for Graney, he played 14 seasons
and then became the first ex-ballplayer
to broadcast a game on radio.
American teenagers bet as much as $1 billion a year,
and about 7 percent of adolescents under 18
may be addicted to gambling, studies show.
I've got to make my rounds.
But, you stay right where you are.
Keep the troops entertained and the Canteen clean...
Cause...if you don't...I'll tell Ma!
Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee,
tea,
pancakes,
conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS
PLEASE REMEMBER THEM ....
