Bill Clinton: MSNBC is 'our version of Fox'

By: Mackenzie Weinger January 18, 2012 12:45 PM EST

Former president Bill Clinton has turned media critic - dubbing MSNBC “our version of Fox.”

Clinton told Esquire magazine MSNBC has become just like Fox News — and he blames the insatiable demand for cable news to have constant content as one of the reasons politics has become so caustic and divisive.

The existence of so many news channels and media outlets, Clinton said, “has contributed to less actual reporting and a louder, more contentious, more divisive public discourse, highlighting conflict, sometimes falsely.”

“I also think that the diffusion of the media has complicated things. For example, I was just watching — I don’t know if you heard what I said in the other room — I was just watching MSNBC, and they had a woman that used to work for me and a couple of other people on there, and they were talking about the Republican primary. And I was laughing. I said, ‘Boy, it really has become our version of Fox,’” he said in the piece in the February issue, which culls from interviews done on November 30 and December 16, 2011.

Any chance he and his latest girl friend could move to Iran and hang out there?

Bubba’s piehole utterings are not worth responding to.

(Is this the same Bubba who did NOT graduate from Oxford?)

Good thing he watches MSNBC though, he’s an appreciable percentage of their viewer ratings.

Dear Bill,

Fox isn't our version of Fox.

MSNBC, however, is our version of incoherent lunacy.

Love,

Laz

It is nice to have it documented that at least Clinton was honest enough to finally admit MSNBC’s liberal slant. It is bad when even he finally sees it.

“Yeah, but what’s the CONSERVATIVES version of Fox?”

You read my mind.

We need a “Free Republic TV” channel.

Badly.

Funny about this insatiable demand for politics ...

It drives me to FreeRepublic. I never watch Fox or any other newschannel. In fact I never watch anything on TV unless the program starts with the (real or imagined) national anthem.

And as for my insatiable demand, it is only so because of the threat I perceive to my way of life by foreign enemies and political scumbags within.

MSNBC only uses the liberal version of what they call the news. FNC provides a fair and balanced approach. MSNBC also uses Dem talking points and the same lies. Bet they won’t report Debbie Wasserman Schultz parents being charged (and her father convicted and sentenced to 10 months in jail) for corruption. Her mother has 7 charges outstanding against her. MSNBC won’t report this little bit of news. No wonder Debbie can’t tell the truth when she is in front of a camera. Her parents taught her well.

Well I fail at keyword insertion. Guess one needs to put something between the words so they don't run into one word.

Stopping now before the mods boot me to next week.
