If you are too lazy to get off the couch to get some garbage like BK then you need some serious help.
It might work for KFC or similar.
There should be a delivery charge or minimum just for the gas and labor alone. I’m guilty of having those $1 dbl-cheeseburgers they usually sell on occasion.
Interesting to see how this plays out.
Burger King and McDonalds have LOW COST food, with convenience playing a large factor along with low price point, in thier franchise’s success. When people pay $20+ for a pizza, paying a couple bucks extra for delivery makes sense. But, when you pay far less to feed yourself, or your family - the delivery costs soon equal the cost of the food.
I predict this may not work well - but I’ve been wrong before.
Yes, I would like pheasant under glass on a bun and a side of instant caviar topped with Grey Pupoun, one diet sparkling wine, and an instant apple souffle.
Will that be long?
Cold woppers and fries don’t reheat very well.......... Nor do soggy buns go well with burgers.
This will fail. Burgers do not “keep” well for the 20 minutes or so that they need to stay in a hot-box. The lettuce wilts, the buns get soggy and the fries...cold as stone.
There is one in particular in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, that is painfully slow (at least it used to be). It always took 20 minutes or more to get your food there, even if the place wasn't visibly busy.
For you folks in the ABQ metro area, it's the BK at 528 and Obregon/Corrales Rd. (River's Edge I)
Avoid!
"Sorry about the delay, but our staff called in sick."
They've got to try something.
I think BK is the worst of the worst. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog if they gave it to me free.
I'd get up and dance for joy, only I can't get up.............
Be there before I know it? I doubt it. I bet it takes a looong time. If they can’t have my Double Whopper With Cheese (DOWHOPwCH) to me at the very moment I THINK about stuffing it down my gullet like Wimpy, then I don’t care. I don’t care. I. DON’T. CARRRRRE!
