"Once they get a hold of the crazy things he's said and done like taking his two-hour old baby who died right after childbirth home and played with it for a couple of hours so his other children would know that the child was real," Democratic commentator Alan Colmes said on FOX News today. "That's a cheap shot, Alan. To say it's crazy, something that's that personal and hurtful as losing a child and to mock it like that is beyond the pale and beneath you," Colmes' conservative opponent Rich Lowry said after the personal attack. I even think some of the dastardly characters we have in the main stream media are not going to go as low as you just have Alan, National Review editor Rick Lowry said later in the conversation.

I ask this in all seriousness: how is dressing up a deceased infant, bringing him or her home, and rocking/holding the child ok...but bringing Grandma home, sitting her in a chair (or rolling her around in a wheelchair), and hugging her is considered sick and twisted? Where is the line drawn? Why is one ok, but not the other?
They weren’t in the same studio. Lowery was thoroughly disgusted with Colmes.

@AlanColmes
just spoke to @ricksantorum. He and Karen graciously accepted my apology for a hurtful comment
CNN feed for trolls and othe Aos.
“When, in my ENTIRE LIFE have I even heard of such a thing before? Who brings home a 20 WEEK premmie, dead, and kisses and cuddles it with their other children?
When have you even heard of such a thing before and why the hell don’t you think it’s weird?”
Having been a newborn ICU nurse, it’s not weird at all. You are quite ignorant. It would seem you’ve never lost a child or known someone who has. I fear for the life lesson the Lord will bless you with, as He has a way of doing to educate us.
The current Hollywood crowd would nail Sterling to the Hollywood sign for his morally based scripts if he were around to write them today.
I also took a little evil pleasure of the image of him waving his cigarette around like he wasn’t ashamed of it or anything.

Yes. RIP
Ditto. The funeral home people were in a state of shock as we all gathered around my Dad’s open casket, pulled out 12 shot glasses and a bottle of Black Bush and knocked one back in honor of a fine Irish gentleman. They had my Uncle Joe laid out in the parlor for 2 days. We never thought anything about it.
Too late to apologize, Alan. You showed your ugly ass today to the whole world.
Santorum is gracious to accept your apology.
Most others are just not that nice.
Santorum is a bigger man than I would have been...
I wonder what he and his sister in law, the conservative babe, Monica Crowley talk about during Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner....

They probably have conversations similar to those engaged in by Carville and Matalin, such as planning what their next on-air conversation will look like so that the viewers will really think that they each believe what they are saying.
Have you ever been around a dead person let alone a baby?
Lots of people do.
Me, too. I am still a little uncomfortable with wreaths on doors, as those used to mean there was a death in the family.
Very lovely.
Kinda looks like a wax figure or creepy doll you'd see on an old Twilight Zone or Hitchcock program.
So, just how MANY times are you saying you were personally aware of such activity?
That is it! That creepy ventriloquist doll that comes to life.
