It's not one of the better Christmases I've had.

One of the very best was 1975, when I connected with the Los Angeles branch of the family that had gone west after the big blowup over my uncle's headstone. This was the entertainment industry branch of the family who ended up fabulously rich. I ended up feeling more at home with them than with my East Coast family.

Fourteen years ago today, I ended my lurking career at FR and signed up as Publius. I've been here ever since, so it's a significant anniversary for me.

Nope, but he holds his head up straight and strong. Waiting to hear and see how his first trip to see Santa Claus went.

Very good to reunite with lost relatives...especially if it’s amiable.

I’m still looking for the lost, rich branch of mine.

Actually all the wealth and land was lost generations ago.

Congrats on 14th.. Whoohoo.
