Courting Jewish Voters, Obama Says 'No Options Off Table' On Iran
By Peter Nicholas December 16, 2011 President Obama can't show enough love for the Jewish vote – er, community.
With his approval rating among Jews down 20 points from his showing in the 2008 election -- and with Republicans eager to exploit Jewish anxieties about Obama's commitment to Israel -- the president isn't passing up many chances these days to proclaim that he's a loyal friend of the Jewish state.
On Friday, he spoke to the Union for Reform Judaism and maintained that his administration has done right by Israel. Under his watch, he said, the U.S. has "secured the most funding for Israel in history." What's more, America has worked with Israel to devise an anti-missile system and is taking "no options off the table" in its effort to deprive Iran of nuclear weapons. "No option off the table" is code for a possible military strike.
Obama got a "rock star reaction," according to a pool report recounting the event.
Republicans would love to pry loose the Jewish support that has traditionally gone to Democrats.
A group called the Emergency Committee for Israel placed an ad in five newspapers around the country this week posing the question: "Why Does the Obama Administration Treat Israel Like a Punching Bag?"

Why wouldn’t they? The Repubs have the anti-Israel-anti-Semite, Ron Paul spouting his hate every couple of weeks on national TV.
But of course they have been doing it long before your “anti semetic anti israel” Republican BOOGIE MAN ever stopped delivering babys.
At this point only a miracle will get him re-elected. So no surprise when that fails to materialize and he launches some sort of attack on Iran, creates a crisis and forces voters to rally around him.
The worse his polls numbers the greater the chances of this scenario happening

Including helping Iran destroy Israel, I presume? That's more likely than Mr. Obama doing anything substantial to hurt his co-religionists.

When you have people that refuse to understand how anti-Semitic FDR really was, he was a non interventionist just like Paul. Then irrationally think FDR was the “saviour” of European Jews, why wouldn’t some ole bag of bones that fits their preconceived belief make them run back to probably a worse anti-Semite than ole H.(Obama)
IMO the Reforms are more geared towards the bunch that became part of the Civil Rights movement. Never mind that the Dums ran the South and was totally responsible for the segregation and racism that smothered a great part of he Country.

As a Jew, it is inconceivable to me not to be a Conservative. Why any Jew would support liberal Demonrats evades my comprehension, and quite frankly pi$$e$ me off.
