“...selling the family home and fleeing...”
-
How much they want for the place?
Might be a bargain.

"They're taking advantage of us because we're one of the poorest areas in the country.

Same old disingenuous class-warfare claptrap.

Patti, you are just another of Lenin's useful idiots...shouldn't you be spending the day hiding under the bed?

Almost as scary as a broken Mercury light bulb or Flouride in the water. Oh never mind, that’s the government doing, so it must be ok.

She and her husband are selling the family home and fleeing with their 15-year-old before the drinking water becomes contaminated,

I'd like to know if they hang on to the mineral rights when they sell their house.

Jobs are scary;)

Non-union jobs are more scary.

Ya better run lady, we grew up under the shadow of oil wells in west Texas and now we all talk funny down here. As Bugs Bunny used to say....”What a maroon!”

"I've never been so afraid,"

Waaahh...
If you have the money to contemplate moving, you can buy a reverse-osmosis system and stay.

She's more afraid of what might happen, what she imagines could happen, than anything. It's almost sad.

I see a low budget horror film in this:

“Attack of the Frightening Fracker! Deep Down He’s a Cold Stone Cracker!”

Did I say very low budget?

So we’re supposed to believe that these people in a poor area are going to sell their house (probably at a huge loss when people realize how strongly she wants to sell) and move just so get good drinking water? Does she have no idea how easy it is to get clean water these days? A heck of a lot cheaper than selling and moving.

Something fishy here.

Marcellus Shale here in SW PA has been a boon to this historically poor area. If you are able bodied and want to work there are GOOD PAYING JOBS. There has been no verified case of groundwater contamination from fracking in it’s 60 yr history. One clown did contract to haul frack water for treatment and was illegally dumping it and has been arrested, other than that.. Nada.
