Alright it's that time of year again. Here's a place for old grads of both schools and fans of the game to gather, talk about past games, and talk a little trash.
Side note: Over the past years these threads have gotten a little Navy heavy. Come on Army folks, I know there has to be some of you on FR.
I attended the Naval Academy for two years (1972-1974) ...
Decisions ... decisions ...
GO NAVY ... BEAT ARMY!!!
GO ARMY!
Go Army! Beat Navy!

279.5 mile run of the game ball from West Point to Landover, MD.
I FROZE in around 1999 (?) in the soaking cold rain at Veteran’s stadium. Not a service member, only a spectator.
Go Army!
Here is an Army guy. We get our hopes up every year for the last several years and then get our butts kicked. I don’t know what Army has to do to get competitive with Navy again. It must have something to do with the recruitment of Cadet Vs. Midshipmen candidates. They also seem to have a little better coaching. Army will never compete again like they did back in the 40’s, but they need to get serious about competing with the other services.
You need to return your retirement checks!
Well, here we go again.
GO ARMY! BEAT NAVY!
I think Navy had a greatly coach in Johnson (now doing great things at Ga Tech) and he really set up Navy and from what I saw was a great recruiter (Ricky Dobbs, the star Navy quarterback who graduated last year, wanted to leave Navy for Ga Tech after Johnson went there) while Army had a coaching revolving door as they kept going through guys who wanted to force a pro offense on Army. I think Ellerson is making the right moves for Army in his three years (what Academy fan can argue against a over .500 season and Bowl win?) and losing so many seniors did hurt us. Navy hasn’t had a good year since losing Dobbs (only 4 wins after 8 years of Bowl games) so I think this is our chance. I’ll always be excited for the game every year.
Also, the “new” Navy coach (Ken Niumatalolo) has been playing with Johnson recruits. I believe the last ones graduated last year or will this year.
I have always wanted to attend an Army-Navy game. Since the POTUS generally attends I was afraid it would take us six hours to get into the stadium.
The only football game I watch. GO ARMY! BEAT NAVY!!
NUKE NAVY!
SHOOT THE SEAMEN!
As for BlueLancer, I agree with Old Retired Army Guy, please return your retirement checks, or donate them to FR
Oh yeah, Dobbs...
the one who wants to be the next O’bummer some day...
*shiver*
And six hours to get into the bathroom to throw up...
(Actually, the one Army/Navy game I did go to way-back-when, I did spend most of it in the bathroom, throwing up...
too much peppermint shnapps...ugh)
GO NAVY!
Having been run over by two different West Point fullbacks while playing touch football, all I can say is there’s some tough guys on both teams.
