“I am deeply concerned by the violence and discrimination targeting LGBT persons around the world — whether it is passing laws that criminalize LGBT status, beating citizens simply for joining peaceful LGBT pride celebrations, or killing men, women, and children for their perceived sexual orientation,” President Obama wrote in a memorandum with his name attached. “Under my Administration, agencies engaged abroad have already begun taking action to promote the fundamental human rights of LGBT persons everywhere.”

It instructs the State Department, the U.S. Agency for International Development and other agencies to use foreign aid to “build respect for the human rights of LGBT persons.”

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a Republican presidential candidate, criticized Mr. Obama for being “out of touch with America’s values.”..........

Pull the plug, Ricardo. Worry about getting re-elected to your current position.

““Just when you thought Barack Obama couldn’t get any more out of touch with America’s values, AP reports his administration wants to make foreign aid decisions based on gay rights. This administration’s war on traditional American values must stop,” Perry said in the statement. “Promoting special rights for gays in foreign countries is not in America’s interests and not worth a dime of taxpayers’ money.””

Wait a minute, I thought that Rick Perry was opposed to all foreign aid except aid the US provides to Israel.

But, now Rick Perry is saying that he is opposed to Obama’s cutting off of foreign aid to certain nations.

He’s 100% right on this issue. Not a penny should be spent to prop up the sin of sodomy. It was an abomination in Old Testament days and remains so today.

We should be using this as a completely valid excuse for cutting off all foreign aid to countries in the ME who want to kill us.

Or at the very least a public demonstration of Democrat hypocrisy.

Neither is letting parasite illegals suck dry our economy, but he doesn’t seem to have a problem with that.

I actually favor this; more for Thailand and Taiwan, none for the muzzies.

The controversy isn’t over human rights for gays; it’s over gay rights for humans.

Gays have “Human Rights” just like everyone else.

What they want is to have special treatment because of their sexual practices. That is ridiculous.

This is part of the spin and euphemism used by leftists and the media.

1- not the smartest statement by Perry...

2- this is also another example of the criminal liberal media shilling for the rats as the title has little to do with Perry’s statement...

Rick Perry Says Human Rights for Gays ‘Not in America’s Interests’

What BS. I personally consider homosexuality to be an abomination. But I wouldn't deny them life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness. Isn't there some middleground between marching around on public streets with feathers up their @$$e$, or pouring blood on the steps of St. Patrick's, and granting these folks "rights" that the rest of us never thought we had?

Gays alleged “human rights” for them to triumph means the human rights proven through 5000+ years of Judeo_Christian (Christian-Judeo) civilization get decimated. Where are our human rights? Proven human rights of proven and reliable man+woman marriage? Where are the majority rights of normal people? Gays mock all of this

**** People who are fixated on anuses (gay sex) are idiots and children. Sigmund Freud had something to say about this

Perry misses the forest for the trees. The reason we don’t need this is because we should never be in support of anything the confers “human rights” based of group affiliation. It doesn’t matter what you are or what you call yourself, your rights flow from God to you as an individual person. That is the essence of conservatism.

Ther should be NO foreign aid to any country unless there is a clear benefit to the United States in doing so. Disaster aid should be by donation only.

Way to go, ABC! So opposing this new practice of making foreign aid dependent on the acceptance of sodomy is denying human rights. No bias there!
