Advertisers fleeing 'All-American Muslim' 'propaganda' Sears, Wal-Mart, Home Depot

"All-American Muslim," a new program on The Learning Channel that is being touted as a "powerful series" that carries viewers "inside the rarely seen world of American Muslims," is being dropped by advertisers.

Critics say the program is nothing more than video jihad propaganda, and the Florida Family Association says it is contacting companies whose advertising appears on the show to ask them to quit. So far, 18 of 20 companies contacted have done so, the group said.

The organization said that among the companies that initially supported the program, but later did not have any advertising aired, were Airborne Vitamin, Amway, Diamond Foods, Dyson Vacuum, Estee Lauder, HTC Phones, Home Depot, McDonald's, Petsmart, Pfizer, Sears, Sonic, T-Mobil and Wal-Mart.

The Florida group said it sent out an email alert to constituents only a week ago, who then contacted the sponsors.

"The Learning Channel's new show 'All-American Muslim' is propaganda clearly designed to counter legitimate and present-day concerns about many Muslims who are advancing Islamic fundamentalism and Shariah law," the organization's report on its work said. "The show profiles only Muslims that appear to be ordinary folks while excluding many Islamic believers whose agenda poses a clear and present danger to liberties and traditional values that the majority of Americans cherish."

The association cited a "troubling scene" in which a Muslim police officer stated, "I really am American. No ifs, ands or buts about it."

"This scene would appear to be damage control for the Dearborn [Mich.] police who have arrested numerous Christians including several former Muslims for peacefully preaching Christianity," the association report said.

"Dearborn police falsely arrested Nabeel Qureshi and Paul Rezkalla in 2010 and Sudanese Christian Pastor George Saieg in 2009 for preaching Christianity at the annual Arab International Festival," the report said.

They would only be considered apostates by extreme fundamentalists. Sort of like what happens here sometimes when people claim I’m not a Christian because I believe heaven is open to those of all faiths.

Circular logic. You establish a definition and then exclude those who don’t fit that definition. But this fails to establish your point. If I can find 100 Muslims who are honest citizens and faithful Americans, you can’t simply say they aren’t good Muslims.

Your argument is largely one of intimidation to which I needn’t respond. But just let me add that anyone can find numerous stories of evil within any social, religious, or ethnic group. I think it’s important to distinguish based on individual character.

Now this is quite amusing to me. You expect me to stay up all hours for you? I hope that post made you feel better.

You establish a definition and then exclude those who don’t fit that definition.

Except I didn't establish the definition. The definition was established by thousands of religious authorities and documents relating to Islam.

If the Pope and entire religious hierarchy of the Catholic church says that abortion is a sin, and they back it up with scriptural references that appear to any intelligent observer to say the same, then some one who is pro-abortion cannot be considered an "observant" Catholic. They can say they are, but they are not, by any objective definition. Ditto that in spades for muslims...

I'm sorry, but the modern liberal mantra of "self-identification" doesn't fly here on Free Republic. You can "self-identify" as a girl if you are born a boy... but you've still got a Y chromosome. Either you fit the criteria, or not. Either you follow the Quran (in all its malevolence), or not. Eventually, everyone has to choose whether they are something, and face the consequences of those decisions, or they must reject them. Your "moderate" Muslim friends can only be moderate because they live in the western world. Once the critical mass is reached and Sharia is established, they'll be happily burning you at the stake (or on the stake next to you)...

Your argument simply fails the reality test. Whether Catholic or Muslim, there’s a wide range of belief regarding what constitutes being a member of that group. You’ve taken a narrow set of characteristics and tried to apply them to an entire group, some members of which disagree with your definition. If I find 100 Catholics or Muslims who vigorously and reasonably claim to be a member of that faith, but who do not share the characteristics you ascribe, then certainly there must be a million more and your definition must be questioned.

Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat.

Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book Posted on Monday, March 31, 2008 7:07:45 PM by engrpat
Received this in a email today. Thought I would pass it on for everyone's information....(from a soon to be released major work - see book credit at end)

Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system.
Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components.

Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called "religious rights."
When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to "the reasonable" Muslim demands for their "religious rights," they also get the other components under the table. Here's how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).
As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:
United States -- Muslim 1.0%
From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. (United States).
France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- Muslim 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%
At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world. When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions (Paris -- car-burnings). Any non- Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats (Amsterdam -- Mohammed cartoons).
After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:
Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%

Maybe, but the point is you simply can't say how long they will appear to be honest and faithful Americans. Deception is more likely than not on their part toward you since you apparently are not muslim.

A few months ago, the county board of Loudoun County, Virginia, just a few miles down the road from the federal capital, granted a zoning variance to facilitate construction of a new Islamic academy over vigorous local opposition. The institution, one of a number being constructed nationwide, will cover some 100 acres, will include elementary, middle, and high schools, will feature an 800-bed dormitory, and will grace the rolling hills of the Virginia horse country with a 65-foot mosque dome and an 85-foot minaret.

After last year, the U.S. panel actually recommended the school, which is funded entirely by the Saudi Arabian government, be closed. Among other things, reporters found that the textbooks encouraged Muslims to kill adulterers and converts from Islam. According to curriculum obtained by MSNBC in 2008, the Islamic Saudi Academy has been a breeding ground for terrorists. At the insistence of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, a U.S. District judge increased the sentence of Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, an Al Qaeda operative who was convicted for plotting to assassinate President Bush, from 30 years to life. It turns out that Ali was the valedictorian of his 1999 class at the Islamic Saudi Academy in Fairfax County.

The first article was written in 1999. The second in the last few years.
You are incredibly naive or actually muslim.

According to Muslim estimates, up to 80 percent of mosques in the U.S. are owned, operated and led by Wahhabis. These radical mosques often promote the installation of Sharia law, an extreme ideology that considers ‘non-believers’ to be infidels. According to Wahhabis, Jihad or support of Jihad is a Muslim duty. They believe that suicide bombers and martyrs are worthy of the highest praise and reward. And radicals are anticipating the day when an Islamic state will one day span the U.S.An in-depth study of 100 mosques and Islamic schools has found that 3 out of 4 Islamic centers are promoting anti-western and anti-American ideology. Many receive funding from Saudi Arabia and the Muslim Brotherhood. The Islamic Society of Boston, MA has built a $22 million Islamic Cultural Center, whose founder, Abdurahman Alamoudi, is under scrutiny for extremist ties. Alamoudi currently sits in federal prison. A former professor at Harvard University encountered a local mosque in Cambridge, MA distributing Wahhabi reading materials that preach hatred toward America.

The only real question is why you would think you can believe what they are telling you. Good luck with that.

How old are you? Why on earth would you come here to support an ideology that beats women and treats them as property, hangs young gay teenagers in public and promotes sharia law? An ideology which allied with Hitler and is fascist in nature, that kills their own children for choosing a spouse outside of Islam.

You are the one who is spouting nonsense. I feel sorry for you.

Many people have been surprised to find that the nice muslim neighbor they thought they knew turned out to be a terrorist.
Tell it to the Egyptian Copts, the Serb Orthodox, and the Hindus in India.

Al-Arian met then-candidate George W. Bush at a campaign event at the Florida Strawberry Festival in March 2000, and Bush and his wife posed for a photo with Al-Arian and his family

"In 1991, at an Islamic rally Al-Arian said: "Jihad is our path. Victory to Islam. Death to Israel", and at another: "Let us damn America, let us damn Israel, let us damn them and their allies until death".[5][27][28] On April 17, 1991, he allegedly gave a speech in which he again spoke in favor of jihad, and praised individuals who had escaped from prison with the help of the PIJ, and then killed a number of people.[1][17] On September 29, 1991, he said in a speech at a Chicago conference that Allah had made Jews "monkeys and swine", "cursed those who are the sons of Israel", and damned Jews in this world and the afterworld."

"Although described by many students as a popular teacher"

Dr. Al-Arian, as usual, you speak very eloquently. I find it interesting that here in public in front of everyone you praised this country, the same country that in private you referred to as "the great Satan"; but that's just evidence of how you operate in the face of your friends and neighbors. You are a master manipulator. You looked your neighbors in the eyes and said you had nothing to do with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. This trial exposed that as a lie.

No I could sit here all night long and post stories about muslims whose friends and neighbors thought they were good Americans, and who later turned out to be plotting against this country or collecting money to send overseas to terrorist organizations.

This solid and very concrete reading for years, facts, is what has formed my opinion.
