"...who thought the real emerging danger for the incumbent Democrat would be friendly fire from within his own party?" I did.
I said two years ago, that this would probably happen. It didn't take any sort of brilliant insight on my part to see this coming, either. It was entirely predictable.
I'll bet most conservatives have long thought the same thing.

The turkey he pardoned doesn’t even trust him. The turkeys on the super committee feel like old used turkeys, used for a cheap photo opportunity.

Here’s my hope (longshot). She knows she wouldn’t win the general, but she could still win a place in history by being the first woman at the top of a major party ticket, AND she’d get some measure of payback. It’s a lot of hassle to settle a score, but she might be capable of it.
Meanwhile, black voters stay home in the big cities, and pubbies get a big Senate majority!

Two months ago people were saying it was getting to be too late for Palin to get into the race. Why is there still time for Hillary to get in (other than she’s running against Obama?) Can she even get on the primary ballots in the early states?

Obama is far to conceited to step down. As the article says, he can’t run on his record, he has no new ideas, so he all he has is to go negative from the beginning.

The problem with Hillary is Hillary! She may have decent popularity numbers now, but what has she done as Secretary of State? Nada! In addition people seem to like her as long as they can’t see or hear her. As soon as she opens her fat mouth everyone gets turned off. I recall a Freeper saying that she reminds every man of his first wife - even if he’s never been married before.

Kas, I'm surprised so many people are missing the import of what Caddell and Schoen said. It's not just that Obama should pull an LBJ and step aside, but that
he should step aside in favor of Hillary by openly endorsing her. This avoids the bruising primary battles that could bring in Howard Dean, Jerry Brown or some other ambitious Democrat waiting to make his move in the resulting political chaos. It unites the party around the new nominee well ahead of the convention.
Power, like nature, abhors a vacuum, and this would avoid the kind of power vacuum that splinters parties. It would also ensure that blacks would work for Hillary, thanks to Obama's blessing in advance.

The DNC is a proven criminal organization. Witness the Obamascams. He really is a sorry criminal indeed. No doubt their next front man will be more ruthless on taxpayers, extracting revenue against value. Not just income and capital gains.
It's all about payback. The redistribution of wealth to “their” people. A more sophisticated method of reparations. Wealth has not the votes to stop this thievery nor much remaining time to avoid it. The erosion of capital is claiming one family after another into government dependency or welfare. They must vote for their masters.
It is old, we are tired and doomed by it as all DNC pretense Is gone.
