I’m sure this will not effect the voter turnout in the area.

We have the homeless, and we have vacant homes. It’s a shame most of the homeless have been so tainted by drugs or by liberalism that there is no point in putting them into the unwanted homes awaiting demolition. Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Pelosi, and Obama have a lot to answer for.

Does anyone realize house prices can’t always go up and maybe younger workers need cheaper starter homes?

Message from Oklahoma to Ohio: tear down your own damn houses. Why do you need tax dollars from other states to solve your problems? Use some of those protected union workers to tear them down.

It’s everything you’d expect from a Democrat stronghold. In your face corruption. Staggering taxes, and a government that can’t get anything done.

So real estate interests are wanting the default and collapse to be more complete. They scoff at the consequences of their vain, thieving and lazy decisions while blaming various others. Alright. That’s the way we’ll go. Enjoy the interesting times and changes in character of leadership ahead.

Now don’t be thinking creatively like that. Everyone knows that the only solution to all government problems is to raise more revenue. :) I, for one, would like to see these so called distressed homes. Are they actually run down or is this just another, blighted area, eminent domain land grab.

Hell, give a couple rowdy kids a bulldozer and have them go to town. When I was 18 I’d have done that for free for the thrill.

When they demolish homes, they send in a bulldozer, or a backhoe, to smash it, and dumpstruck to cart it off to a landfill.
Why not recycle? Homes are mostly wood..and seasoned wood is always of value, every for firewood. There's metal..piping, and other stuff..so why not hire some of the unemployed..not that expensive..minimum wage or a little higher..not that expensive...put them is small crews..to tear down these homes, sort out all the salvagable stuff..I bet much of it could be sold overseas...

No. We've been informed for decades, while moving manufacturing overseas, that all people without mortgages/ownership are liberals on drugs. Never mind that nearly all who have mortgages and concerns about their "property values" are revenue-sucking, bipartisan, commie constituents.
We'll go with that. Enjoy TEOTWAWKI and a better world with more independent nations and smaller governments in the future. It appears that they would like to see terminations and abolitions of all pensions with their efforts. So be it.

And the solution to the problems in the northeast is more liberal politicians, and more powerful union labor. /s
