It might be time to stop laughing at Herman Cain.
His presidential campaign, once considered a vanity project designed to sell copies of his new book, continues to chug along the tracks, refusing to be derailed by scandal or the lack of a well-organized staff.
Cain has a lead in a handful of national polls over the heavily favored Mitt Romney and some political observers believe a once-unthinkable path to the Republican nomination could emerge for the charismatic former pizza CEO.

Now most of the Elitist Rats are going to try to convince us that it is Mitt Romney. Although it is not the case it is who they want since they know Obama can beat him.
The whole thing about Newt moving into second B.S. The far left is going to try to convince us that Cain is sliping due to the bogus charges against him. Moreover, they want Newt to be #2, because then don't have anything else against Cain. However, they have A LOT of on Newt to bring him down sticking us with Romney the fall guy for Obama.
Like a lot of you guys I like what Newt says on the campaign trail. Although he is not electable because 1) too polarzing 2) a lot of people do not trust him after his ad with Nancy Palosi 3) he is retread. He is been in Washington DC for a long time and is considered part of the problem and not the solution. I agree unfairly so.
Most people trust Cain over Newt, Romney and Obama.
Rock On, Herman! Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!!!
Poll: Cain tops 3-way race with Romney, Gingrich
yeah love the way the GOPbots hype Newt and ignore this poll.
Definite note of alarm here: smoke is clearing from the the sexual harassment nuke they set off, and they find that it didn't even slow Cain down. They are baffled.
I'm not happy with his serial adultery, but what makes him an absolute non-starter is his inability to stick to his principles when the chips are down. He will surrender, compromise, and backtrack out of an originally good position.
I'm thinking not so much of the episode with Pelosi on the sofa (although that's an indication of his malleability) but his repeated surrenders to Clinton. That may well have been because the Clintons had his F.B.I. file, but it's a pattern that both predates and post-dates that time frame.
As I've said before, Newt can be rolled and everybody in D.C. knows it.

They might favor that old sway back horse...
But Conservative Republicans dont...
Willie Mitty is scratched...
And all these people who proclaim “Palin is a quitter”, conveniently forget that Newt quit in 1998, two days after he was overwhelmingly re-elected to his House seat.
He leads in part because over a 40+ year business career he only acquired false accuations from the Chicago chapter of the NRA. He worked as national CEO of that group for 3 years. How can anyone who thinks rationally come to any decision other than he was Obamaed by his Chicago thugs.
What do you think they have on Newt? Anything that isn't old news? Please list a few of the "LOT" of things. I'm genuinely curious.
Won’t stop Hewitt and his regulars from going on about Romney.
I would say it slowed Cain down, but certainly hasn’t killed him off as was hoped by the smear merchants. They are absolutely stunned their dirty tricks have not won the day. Cain is stronger than they thought and people by and large are wiser to these jackals’ playbook.

But after losing many seats for his party in an off year election.
It was the honorable thing to do. Had it been feudal Japan, he would have been expected to run a sword through his belly.
He was to elected to represent his district. He quit on them....all I’m saying is to hold him to the same standard as Palin.
After losing five seats. Five!
From 228 to 223, still a majority.
If Cain is viable when the race gets to my state, I'll work like a mad hatter for him {PA}, but if he's gone and Newt is still there, I'll go with Newt.
If obama gets re-elected, I'm going to convert everything to gold and silver and I'm headed to my couple of remote acres, with a cabin, well water, septic tank, no electricity, truck in propane for heat, light, cooking and refrigeration and no neighbors.
I can see into the valley for miles, great hunting and fishing, no TV, sat phones and/or internet.
It's as good a place as any to meet your maker, and I won't give a rat's ass about the economy, politics, corruption, or any other event connected with civilization.
Jeremiah Johnson had a plan.
Looking good. Herman has a plan to sustain this I bet.
Bingo!!!
Thats a cool map.
