Former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky has been charged with sexually abusing eight children, with something like a dozen more also claiming they were victimized. That's horrible. Powerful PSU figures appear to have attempted to cover up what they knew. That makes it even worse.
But if one rumor turns out to be true, this may become a story too awful to compare to any other.
There's been nothing reported by an investigative journalist or law enforcement official so far, but a handful of media members are talking about investigations into whether Sandusky may have shared some of his victims with other adult males.
From two days ago, here's Dan Bernstein of CBS Chicago:
@dan_bernstein FYI: names are being x-checked w/Sandusky's Second Mile, and there are other older adult men with "curious" relationships. Only the start.
Thursday morning, Mark Madden, a Pittsburgh radio host who wrote a story seven months ago envisioning Sandusky's downfall, went on WEEI's Dennis & Callahan Morning Show to discuss the scandal. At the 7:15 mark here, he's asked about the "next shoe to drop." Here are his remarks:
I can give you a rumor, and I can give you something I think might happen. I hear there's a rumor that there will be a more shocking development from the Second Mile foundation. And, hold on to your stomachs because this is gross, I'll use the only language that I can, that Jerry Sandusky and Second Mile were pimping out young boys to donors. This is being investigated by two prominent columnists as I speak.
Madden also speculates it'll be revealed that Sandusky was told to retire as part of a cover-up.
CBS Sports' Gregg Doyel tweeted the following later in the morning, appearing to cite a source besides Madden:
@greggdoyelcbs I'm told Penn's atty general has this sick Sandusky rumor on the radar. Warning, awful read http://t.co/Wy4uiuiD
We can hope none of this is true, but multiple outlets are saying it's being investigated. If it is, let's then hope investigators are able to find it never happened.
Sandusky is at that point pretty much the best defensive coach in the country, reporting to a living legend.
He has a lot of clout, either to call players and tell them *you* were attacking the child, or to pull away, intimidate the kid, and make it a your word vs. his on who was raping the kid.
That being said, if I were the 28 year old grad assistant, I'd have kicked Sandusky in the balls from behind with a scoop kick, and then stood over him till the cops got there.
NO cheers, unfortunately.
This smells of pedophilia ring, such as they had in Belgium a few years back which involved a number of high officials.
Would that we could peel it back and take out the homosexuals in high places infesting much of our society: it'd set the liberal agenda back at least 30 years by removing most of its champions in high places.
Because the grand jury indicted him. This was all played out in slow motion.
Well, Mike McQeary is in charge of recruiting, so I wondering how that's been working out for them since Sunday?
And when the story broke McQueary was on the road visiting recruits.
How can you type with your head in the sand?
No, but PSU probably prevented a loss of athletic talent. If the acting defensive coordinator at Penn State had been removed in 1998 for molesting boys, or arrested in 2000 for orally sodomizing a boy in the football showers, or arrested in 2002 with the former acts becoming public, it likely would have affected PSU's recruting.
But not as much as this is going to do.
So if you see any loss in recruiting athletic talent by PSU over the next few years, just imagine something like that would have happened with the arrest of Sandusky, but on a smaller scale in 2002, and a much smaller scale in 2000, and a much, much smaller scale in 1998.
I'm certain it was an accident, but you left out orally sodomizing a boy in the shower of the locker room in 2000, when the janitor saw him and was too scared to report it (except to the other janitors).
Because powerful men with moral authority decided either not act, or acted to cover it up. And because men with less power were awed or scared of those powerful men.
What gets me the most is that McQueary stayed on at a program he knew was covering for a man raping children. Even if we step back and say McQueary was afraid of Sandusky, he stayed on with Penn State.
bkmk
This is a "Sad" but "Victorious" day for everyone of the children that were wounded by Sandusky & the PSU cover-up!"
All other athletes are tweeting about the great things Paterno did for Penn State. Evans is the only guy who mentioned the children and the cover-up, and he's catching some trash for it.
Ah. But former pitcher Brett Saberhagen’s backing up Heath Shuler.
I’m with Heath.
OK, what am I missing here? I already said that I want every person involved to be punished, but I also hope it doesn't get any bigger. If it does, so be it, get the monsters who have hurt the kids, and get each kid the help he needs.
But what is wrong with hoping and praying that there are no more hurt kids?
(yea, it's just a cut-and-paste of one of my earlier posts, but really, what's the use?)

Too bad there is so little justice in our country. I hope that changes soon.
Plenty of faggots appear ultra masculine. And fair numbers are married, look at the freak in the White House.
Of course, the freak in the White House is one of the pansy types.
While the athletes tweet away, other police departments are investigating...
San Antonio PD to Investigate:
Well said.
You bring up points that I do not agree with. By cleaning out a gay coach and firing everybody involved they could have claimed to have the cleanest football program that side of California. LOL.
It makes sense to me that some of the players knew and said nothing. Perverts like Sandusky can’t operate without drawing suspicion. So....
I wonder if the gay attorneys had some people nervous about this matter. Darn, if you don’t agree with them you’re classified as a homophobe and then they try to throw you out of a job. Those perverts have perverted out system.
