Herman Cain campaign manager Mark Block, in an appearance with Sean Hannity on Fox News just now, insisted that a relative of the second woman to publicly accuse the candidate of sexual harassment in the 1990s works at POLITICO.
"Her son works at POLITICO," Block said of Karen Kraushaar, whose name POLITICO printed earlier today after other media outlets made her identity public.
Continue Reading "I've been hearing that all day - you've confirmed that now?" Hannity asked.
"We've confirmed that he does indeed work at POLITICO and that's his mother, yes," said Block.
Block appeared to be referring to former POLITICO reporter Josh Kraushaar, who left for another outlet, National Journal, in 2010.
Josh Kraushaar tweeted earlier in the day, apparently after getting questions, that he's in fact not related to Karen Kraushaar, and simply has the same last name.
I see so, a website can smear your name all over creation without a shred of evidence, but you make one mistake or error in your response to them, and you’re done?
You guys are a bunch of sniveling, little idiots, and you’re going to lose in 2012 at the rate you’re going.
The kid in question was on Politico’s web site as a reporter. Now they say he doesn’t work there.
They don’t really care about being accurate at Politico either, do they?
They blame Perry, the media, anti-businessman bias, and now some reporter who they’ve dragged into this mess... He should blame Bush next.
—Going public and claiming to have “confirmed” that her son works for Politico is a major blunder.
Not only does this person not work for Politico, he isn’t even related to the accuser. Yikes!—
Yep. I see this as Block’s strike two.
Politico had the names of the women. They had evidence. It’s just Cain, through Block, has been either innocently making false accusations, or is lying.
—but you make one mistake or error in your response...—
This is a little more than that. First we have Block blaming, without evidence, a Perry worker for breaking the harassment story, and now he claims to have verified a story that is simply false, at several levels.
Unless it turns out that Block was right, this is not just “one mistake” any more than doing 120 mph through a neighborhood is merely “speeding”.
“He needs to get rid of Block”
It rather makes one think that those cigarettes he smokes may be wacky tobaccy.
Do not agree with you at all.
I remember a while back, when I was 21, I left to go out of town, and someone broke into my apartment and stole from me.
I knew it was one of my wonderful friends, but which one, hmmm?
So, I just went up tp a few different ones that I suspected and outright accused them, told them I knew you did it, and we are gonna fight right now. They all denied it of course, and were scared of me, and as well they should have been, because I was damn serious.
But none of them were the one. About 6 months later, I got a phone call. So, you want to know who broke in? It was David R.
Bam, apparently David pissed off his roomate, then his roomate ratted him out to me. David went to jail for burglary and probation vio..
Was my method proper? Nope. Did I get my man? Yep.
My point is, when some coward bastard attacks you from the shadow, sometimes an innocent person gets accused. Sh!t happens.
OK.
That’s what I’m saying.
