HARRISBURG - Attorney General Linda Kelly and Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan today announced that criminal charges have been filed against three Centre County men as the result of an extensive and wide-reaching grand jury investigation into reports of the sexual abuse of children.
Huge lawsuits on the way. Paterno's legacy is destroyed. He needs to step down immediately and I hope he loses everything he owns to the families of these abused children.
He may not be guilty in the eyes of the law, but it does sound like he merely “passed the buck”, he was more worried about the reputation of his program, than whether there would be future victims.
How come this is treated as an allegation, while the allegations against Cain are treated as proven?
I don’t know how anyone could live with himself if he knew this was happening and did nothing. This is disgusting.
They are abused boys. The press always write “children” to obfuscate the fact that this is about homosexuality AGAIN. This “looking the other way” is what our troops are being told when they go to Afghanistan. They shouldn’t interfere when they see men sodomizing young boys. How sick. Homosexuality is a learned behavior. There is no “gay” gene.
This pederasty has to be ended, and it won’t until we quit glorifying homosexuals and taking “pride” in deviant behavior taught to them by
pedophiles.
How about a link to the actual story?
So...the Penn State locker room and showers are a crime scene.
Nebraska should cancel the game.
This is from 15 years ago ....
Those ‘boys’ are now adults..........
Let them talk and cream these creeps that have been accused....
what a terrible sad world we are living in..this story is sick..Penn State will be effected as it should be.
The NCAA should put the Death Penalty on Penn State.
Guilty until proven innocent.
Say it ain't so JOE
Paterno was told by a graduate assistant that he witnessed Sandusky molesting a boy in the locker room. Paterno passed that allegation to Tim Curry, the athletic director.
It was an ALLLEGATION. As far as we know, Paterno did not witness anything first-hand, so he could not go to police. He did exactly what he was supposed to to.
You are thinking like a college football fan and not objectively.
Paterno did report it to his supervisor, but Paterno is no ordinary mid level manager. He is probably more powerful than the one he reported it too. He should have at least followed up on it after he saw that the perp was still around the locker rooms.
Because this one has produced a grand jury report and an arrest.
The assistant has been ID’d as Mike McQueary.
From a local reporter.
(District Attorney) Gricar had final say in ending inquiry
Paterno didn’t know the details, he only knew that something had happened. He reported it to the proper people.
Perhaps he should have held a trial himself?
He should have followed up. No crime committed but he still should have followed up. It happened in his locker room.
If my grad assistant had come to me and told me this, my response would be, “let’s call the police right now- -and if you won’t, I will.”
Cain didn’t coach Penn State football.
