In head-to-head matchups, Romney leads Obama among registered voters in swing states by a single percentage point
The swing states just aren't swinging President Obama's way.
Republican presidential hopefuls Mitt Romney, Rick Perry and Herman Cain are either winning or are neck to neck with Obama in the states deemed the most critical to winning the 2012 presidential election, a USA Today/Gallup poll released Friday found.
In head-to-head matchups, Romney leads Obama among registered voters in swing states by a single percentage point, 47% to 46%.
But the commander in chief is ahead against Perry in those states by a five point margin, 49% to 44%.
And against Cain, Obama narrowly win by three points, 48% to 45%.
Both Cain and Romney fall within the polls 3% error margin.
The swing states, which Obama won in 2008, include Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.
The poll also reveals deep voter dissatisfaction among swing states voters.
A sizable 60% said they were worse off than they were three years ago compared the 37% who said they were better off.

A ham sandwich can beat Obama.
I don't know; the Jewish vote wouldn't likely go for a ham sandwich.

Unless something really incredible happens in the next 13 months, the enthusiasm gap will skew those numbers an additional 5% to the ‘R’ side. It’s going to be a bloodbath. We’re not nominating a presidential candidate, we’re appointing Obama’s executioner.

Its Kosher Ham!
That reminds me of a true story.
When I started college at U of Chicago in the early '80s, many places competed for the student food dollar. My dorm, the Shoreland, was about three miles from the dining hall, so Shorelanders were especially sought after.
It was well-known that Leon's Bar-b-q had some of the best ribs to be had. As a common first name like Leon's cannot be trademarked, a cheap knock-off called "Leon's Plus" was sending flyers throughout the dorms. Leon's Plus claimed to have "Assembled the Finest Chefs in the World of every cuisine" to provide a full menu, and not just ribs. So, besides ribs and chicken, they offered Italian, gyros, burgers, and yes a full line of kosher delicacies prepared by the finest kosher chefs including the "Kosher Ham Sandwich"...all for $1.85!

We have a local family style restaurant that prints up a calendar for each month and each day has its special listed. Thing is they always list pork items on the Jewish holidays!

And against Cain, Obama narrowly win by three points, 48% to 45%. That will change to a 20 point route by the time the election comes around.
Forget clunker Romney and lemon Perry... I want the Lexus - Herman Cain!

In my opinion Cain is the only one who can defeat Romney in Michigan. More important is the fact that I think he can defeat Obama in Michigan.
