HiYa connie.*Hugs*
Changing over Coolers (got someone coming to do the on the roof stuff)to furnaces and yard work is all that’s on the Honeydoo list.
Now its time to cover one of the great American masters, Jimmy Webb, composer of the incomparable Up, Up and Away and other classics. This is The Jimmy Webb Songbook: Part 1, the Sixties.
Webbs father was about to move back to Oklahoma from Southern California after the death of Webbs mother, but 19 year old Jimmy decided to stay in Los Angeles to pursue song writing.
His first successful sale came in 1965 with an imitation Motown song for a local label. The song got a little air play but went nowhere. What is interesting about this song is that once you get past the doo-wop opening, the melody for the verses is not bad. At 1:24 the middle eight shows some promise, and when the third verse comes in, it almost comes together. Its a good first try.
(((((((((((Connie)))))))))))))
I’ve had better (pain) days, but am doing okay.
Yep, getting cold up here, alright.
Wood stove is stoked and crackling merrily.
Great theme tonight Cindy Sue! *hugs*
Enjoying your fall?
Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS))).....Ooops, maybe I shouldn’t do THAT.
Might get in trouble twenty years from now. LOL.

Good eventide, Sir Conor.

Ugh..........the time change again!!!! LOL
The heater is on here in Georgia.
Did I make the top 10?
TRED (The Right Elective Decisions) has not confirmed any of this story but feels compelled to keep you riveted to your computer screen
Wow...just like the MSM!:)
Thanks Chris...a good laugh & like the format.
Cool down there too, eh?
It was a nice sunny day here, but at 47 with a brisk wind, it was downright frosty!
