Was the recent attack on Herman Cains presidential campaign a professional hit job? Absolutely, says Herman Cain. And he says he knows just where to look for the guy who did it: At 815 Slaters Lane in Alexandria, Virginia, a low-slung former warehouse in the shadow of a coal plant.

Shield posted on FR last night that someone was pouring over Cains’ FEC filings and expected to find more dirt.
Shield has had some interesting posts to me in the past, about how “poorly” Cain’s campaign is being run, by someone they know that is “close to the campaign”. That people were “circling the wagons”.
Whoever sheild is, they knew this was coming.
I doubt Perry was behind the leak. Since the story went to Politico, I am sure 0bama was behin dit.
Perry is the one in dire straits. Romney is a sleaze but not so far behind as to get desperate and careless at this point.
This battle is for my grandson's freedom from Marxist tyranny.
Georgia man, Savannah born.
How do those date tie in with Politico first asking Cain about the allegations back on October 19th?

Steve Forbes supports Perry. Why would his website post this story?
Why doesn’t Cain remember *2* women?
I agree mom, and I really do feel let down, because I was warming up to Perry. But this is not what I expect from our own side.
This sounds too much like a karl Rove move, and I do not want anything to do with these kinds of sleazeball antics.
LOL, I always blame kitty. Kitty is always forgiven.
None of what you say means anything. If Perry wanted to burry Cain, why not wait until later where it would hurt Cain more?
In case you failed to read the full article, Perry has people working for him who helped Cain in 2003-04 when he tried a Senate bid. Thus Cain told one of the guys, who is in a Republican-leaning consulting firm hired by Gov. Rick Perrys presidential campaign, in 2003 about the 1999 harassment situation. Cain thinks it is this guy, Curt Anderson, who leaked details to Politico. Cain recalls briefing Anderson in 2003.
Cain’s camp points to the timing of Andersons hiring by Perry as evidence of his involvement. The campaign announced Andersons hiring on October 24, just a week before the story.
Right. There are more legs to this story than the whole trumpd up accusations against Cain.
What kind of hard evidence can you have in a she-said, he-said?I don't know. But he better have something or he looks as bad as one of those lying b*tches cruisin' for a settlement.
I merely suggested that you refrain from posting about things of which you know nothing. It was an attempt to help you avoid appearing stupid.
Man, you don’t honestly think this harassment stuff was going to sit on a shelf, do you? There has been opposition research by ALL sides; Romney, Perry, Obama, Clinton, Bush, Rove, et al. For all we know, ALL of them had a line on it. All of them have positive reasons to reveal it. If it’s baseless, Cain comes out fine. If it’s not, he’s done. Simple.
Agreed, and it's not Obama's people because it's exactly one year too early for them to do this.
For what it’s worth, Sam, last night Bob Beckell on Fox “Five” said he had heard it was out of the Perry camp. Is it my imagination or are the usual Perrybots quiet today?
There are also many Conservatives who want to properly vet our candidates to make sure we don’t elect an Obama-like predecessor. We need someone with a near spotless reputation and no skeletons or the Left will have a field day.
