Andrea Rossi May Sell eCat Shares
admin on November 2, 2011 5 Comments
Andrea Rossi has always indicated that he would only use his own money until he was selling eCat products on the open market. It should be no surprise then that the possibility of opening up investment opportunities to the public looms now that the 1MW plant has shipped. Of course, without knowledge of the customers identity or verifiable scientific proof, any such venture at this time would be high risk. If you assume for now that the eCat is real, AR has money coming in the door (probably around 2m Euro a pop) and so some of the immediate financial pressure is relieved. Even so, the scale of his task is enormous. This would just be the start and we are told that it will be three months before the next delivery. Therefore, it is unlikely that he will be flush with cash for some time at least. It makes sense then, to consider raising money through the issue of public shares.
A serious businessman with a real product would not attempt to do so in the midst of uncertainty regarding the product. Doubt and suspicion will lower the value of such shares. For that reason, I would only expect such a move after the clouds obscuring the eCat have been lifted. As Dr Rossi hints on his blog, we may be seeing the seeds of exactly that.

Dear Mr. Andrea Rossi,
Congratulations on your outstanding success! Please, inform me how I could buy the shares of your company. I have many inventions, mostly related to biomedicine, and I have ideas how to increase mental capability, how to primary prevent mental diseases, how to get people healthy from the beginning of the life and some others. A lot of money is needed for realization, and in an attempt to promote it (partly, of course), I hope to buy the shares of your company.
Many thanks.
Best regards,
Simon Basovich,

Dear Francesco D.M.: We are just producing heat, so far. Probably we will sell shares to allow everybody to participate to this enterprise. But before this we have to consolidate our manufacturing and commercial system. Warm Regards, A.R.
I postulated in an earlier post that there were now so many people involved in ARs project across too many organisations, that it would become increasingly difficult to keep secrets such as: Who is the customer? It seems that Dr Rossi agrees.

Dear Neil Ferguson: The names of Customers unavoidably will pop up, before or later. I agree with you. Warm Regards, A.R.

Dear Luca Salvarani: 1- yes 2- more 3- I want not our Customers assailed by the puppetts moved by their puppetteers. Let the plant go to work, then they will reveal themselves automatically. Probably you did not understand that there is a war against us. Warm Regards, A.R
Finally, we have AR reiterate his hope/plan for the coming years.

Dear Paul Calvo: The price can drop to 500 $/kW if we will have to produce millions of pieces. Warm Regards, A.R.

Dear Paolo: To be ready to sell household E-Cats we need from 1 to 2 years. Warm Regards, A.R.
We are not looking at a hit-and-run con-job but a long-term strategy that is cohesive and well thought out. To achieve the scale needed to produce millions of pieces will require money and confidence in the product. Right now, he is building that confidence even as the eCat starts to earn its keep. He knows that eventually we will learn who the customers are and it seems obvious to me that such knowledge would dispel many fears. All of this is being played out in a sea of commercial warfare, even if the battle is obscured for now.

Dear Mr. Rossi,
You have commented there is a war against you (your organization? your efforts to market the E-Cat?). Do you expect the successful sale of the megawatt demo module to stop the war, or is it going to get bigger?

Dear Robert Mockan: Bigger. Warm Regards, A.R.
Thus, it makes sense to retain a certain mystique, making it difficult for competitors to gauge the truth or guess the technological details behind the eCats apparent success. To attract the money required, he has to own and protect the intellectual property:

Dear lenr4you: Nobody would invest anything in a non proprietary technology. Warm Regards, A.R.
And yet, to sell the product and shares widely he has to take the risk of building confidence, of attracting an army of opponents alongside allies. It is a tough path to walk. Those who say he should have simply proven beyond doubt a year ago that the eCat was genuine do not consider that without handing it over to third parties for many months (with all the risks that entails) during which time he is in limbo, there is no test he could have done that would have satisfied the attackers. Indeed, I am certain that even that would have achieved little apart from arming his competitors. Instead, he is now bringing in money as interest is growing. He has kept ahead of everyone else by being shrewd as well as clever.
That said, he also knows that he cannot keep such a delicate balance going forever. A conman would want to sell you shares now while you are confused, an entrepreneur knows he will get more on delivering proof. To me, this all adds up. When we will know the truth is anyones guess.
Im frightened to say it but Ill guess anyway. Soon.

Unfortunately, if Rossi hired a bunch of actors to pretend to be the customer reps, created an elaborate year-long special-effects-derived series of demos, bribed, hypnotised or otherwise fooled Focardi, Levi, Kullander, Essen, Bianchini, Stremmenos and convinced a bunch of Greek crooks to set up a dummy company called Defkalion to pretend to fight with him over the non-existent eCat, to perpetuate the illusion and spin it off into a competing mirror-scam and convinced his former partners to set up another company called Ampenergo to pretend that they had a contract for The Americas for a substantial sum or that they just did this with no proof because they have worked with Rossi and trust him because hes such a fine fellow, arranged for Piantelli, Miley and a host of others to try to fool the world into thinking that cold fusion was real, got NASA, SPAWAR, The Defense Threat Reduction Agency and The Defense Intelligence Agency to say nice things about the field, got Bushnell to make a fool of himself, sold his profitable company to his ex-partners in order to spend that wealth on a multi-million dollar scam; certain that once he got all the above ducks in a row he would pretend to sell the first device and then reel in the true target of his dastardly plan the second (this time genuine) buyer of a 1MW plant that will net him $2 million dollars until they want their money back or sucker a $100 million dollar deal under the table because he has experience in pulling the wool over all these idiotic eyes and knows that they will just take his word for it and not want to test if his 1MW plant can heat a small village without truckloads of coal or oil or a big fat electric cable coming into the container from beneath the floor (no you cant lift the carpet!) and that, in order to pull this off, Rossi had to risk discovery by interviewing all the people he subsequently fooled so that he could only invite the gullible Professors and not the brilliant anonymous posters on the Internet who surely would have found him out then all bets are off and Im with the guys who think that Rossi is an idiot and they are all geniuses .

This article is going to drive the detractors bonkers.
“For that reason, I would only expect such a move after the clouds obscuring the eCat have been lifted.”
After the clouds have been lifted, the stock will be worthless...
Actually, it supports the detractors case.
This article is going to drive the believers broke.

okey dokey
My shares in E-magic beans are going to pay off any day now.
I dunno, I think this article makes Rossi look bad.
“Dear Paul Calvo: The price can drop to 500 $/kW if we will have to produce millions of pieces. Warm Regards, A.R.”
Previously he said $100/kw. We know that he had some ‘technical problems’ with the 1MW test that prevented full power operation. Is this extra cost due to correcting those problems?
This isn’t “news”. It belongs in blogs section.
Three-time con man. Expect nothing less.
could be
Three-time con man.
*** I posted his background that included jail time, as found on his enemy’s website. The interesting thing is, it was the squawkish detractors who had the most trouble with the facts on the ground.

I scanned quickly through the e-cat news site. Is there any documentation of test results for the 10/28 test: pictures, instrument readings, etc? All I see are statements by various people that 470 something KW were made for five hours, and an undisclosed customer paid some amount of money.
For what was billed as a defining moment of proof, the ultimate validation of the technology, there’s precious little data from the test, and a lot of hearsay.
Actually, it supports the detractors case.
***Well then, maybe you guys will stop using classic fallacies and trolling techniques.

***Look for this article on that news site. It links to 2 reports.
PESN and Ny Teknik Reports
October 29, 2011 | Author: admin
PESN has published a their account of the test.
Sterling has done a good job of this. There is a lot of detail in his report and he has taken lots of video. It is best read complete at PESN. One interesting factoid (among many) is that Peter Svensson, the Technology Writer for Associated Press (AP) will likely publish in a couple of days after write-up and editorial permission. Might this be the start of people taking this seriously? It should be. Place your bets now.
Ny Teknik has been impressively quick, too. Here is their English version.
I think this is a preliminary report from Matts. Even so, there is some excellent detail, particularly in the second section. The picture is beginning to unfold slowly. It will take some time to parse but I have to admit to a large slice of positivity.
In a scientific sense, it is easy to pick holes in what we have been presented and I would understand any scientist reserving judgement. However, I really do not understand the mean spirit of certain individuals when expressing that doubt. You come away after reading some of that stuff as though something foul has touched your thoughts. Lighten up guys. This may be real.
For what was billed as a defining moment of proof, the ultimate validation of the technology,
***I think perhaps you read more into it than what was billed. Rossi has said all along that the ultimate validation is customers who buy his device and are satisfied, bringing more customers...
