Early in his candidacy, Herman Cain may have accepted tens of thousands of dollars in goods and services for his campaign from a tax-exempt organization founded by his top aide, documents from the organization show, raising the prospect of serious violations of tax and election law by both Mr. Cains campaign and the organization.
The documents suggest that the nonprofit organization, Prosperity USA, effectively subsidized some early costs of his presidential bid, paying for computer equipment, charter planes and air travel for Mr. Cain or the aide, Mark Block, who is his chief of staff.
Such expenditures would violate federal election and campaign laws, which prohibit tax-exempt groups from engaging in any political activity or contributing to election campaigns, a major problem for Mr. Cain. He spent much of Monday fending off accusations that he had sexually harassed two former employees of a trade association he once led.

WHAT A LAUGH!
Both the GOP country club RINOS and the left are attacking Cain, I hope he carves them new ones ( Sphincters).
bump
Thanks for the link. Hey, if they’re looking for staggering campaign funding violations, how about looking at Barack 0bama!
0 will be on extreme offense, so nobody gets a chance to put him on the defense.
Bah humbug! If 80% of America is that stupid there’s no hope for us anyway so we should just all forget to ever get out of bed in the morning.
You act as if the Republicans didn’t just have the largest landslide in American history. As if New York didn’t just elect a Republican. As if the seat that had been occupied for a long time by a putrid Kennedy wasn’t turned over to a Republican. 80% of the people were NOT fooled, even in those bastions of liberal politics and media. And that’s even with the establishment pubbies being the biggest clueless jerks they knew how to be; the wins were on the shoulders of Tea Party folks mostly, even while the media was ridiculing them and doing their level best to slander anybody with an R behind their name.
The media has way too much power even now and there are a lot of ignorant and/or mindless people who have a duty NOT to vote but still vote anyway. But it’s becoming increasingly harder for even those people to remain ignorant of EVERYTHING.
If you want to give up and die go ahead, but my kids’ future means too much for me to let the media’s poisonous drivel slow me down.
I saw it on another thread just today, and thought it was a stunner. I can’t believe it’s been kept so quiet that a lot of us haven’t heard about it before.
I love Cain, but he is done. If you cant see that, you havent been watching politics and the media very closely. I know these are basically trumped up, no substance stories. But doesnt matter to the 80% of Americans who get their news through regular sources. All they have heard is Cain committed sexual harassment, and that he took illegal campaign contributions.
That is the traditional “pubbie fold,” the reaction we always have when the liberal media Alinskys us. We don’t have to fold. If we keep sending $ to Cain through this, he can beat Romney. It doesn’t matter where middle america gets their news this time: Cain would beat Obama. And Cain has far less improprieties than Obama
Both of their october surprises flopped...They can not say anything that would make me stop voting for Cain..After all the democrat dirty laundry with Clinton, they sure have balls..but are shooting blanks..
I love how they use the term “may have” and “documents suggest”, in other words someone’s opinion...
yep, he is quite obivious with his “but”
I completely agree. Right now, the “media” attack dogs are trying the more “conventional” slanders to take him down. If those fail, look for them to start shopping for medical “experts” to press the narrative about “his type of cancer” having a dangerously high recurrence rate within five years.
The liberal chatterboxes and other propagandists will oh-so-earnestly express “deep concern” about how electing a cancer “victim” who could die in office is so dangerous for the country. Pressure will mount for Cain to have an exhaustive medical exam... with the “media” and their DNC masters hoping something deadly shows up.
“prohibitbtax-exempt groups from engaging in any political activity”
Yet amazingly, the Slimes fails, time and again to address the campaigning of democrats in black churches, the well-known antics of ACORN, etc.....
You’ve got to love the writers last name, Confessore.
“Yep the typical Cain supporters. For you, it is not what he did or what he is doing, even if much worse stuff are found about him many of you would be defending him, because you guys only follow like a cult the one who gives you the most red meat of empty bumper sticker rhetoric and the joker is giving you plenty of it and you are loving him for it.”
Yep, you NAILED IT. I’m not about to allow the media to pick my candidate...but you’re welcome to listen to them.
The Democratic Leadership Council is also a tax exempt 501(c)4 - the same DLC that got Bill Clinton elected.
This is what they did to Palin in Alaska in 2009. She should have stood her ground. Cain WILL stand his ground.
Ahhh, the good old days! After Obama, I really truly believe either one wouldn't matter anymore!
WE DONT CARE!!!!! We have our man.
I figure its time to circle the wagons around him BIG TIME.
I found his web site and made a donation to his campaign a few minutes ago:
