If everyone is required to use the same OS, use an Apple phone and we only had one party and candidate things would be much more efficient and easy as far as decision making is concerned. I think Job's has a point, Obama would make a good Castro, Chavez...

Much ado about nothing. FOX at best being center RINO. I guess even sainted rats need a boogey person.

In the past couple of years as FNC has deserted it's base and moved to the mushy middle, I have called FNC a lot worse things than a destructive force.

I stopped watching about six months ago and have been much happier since.

Let's face the facts kiddies, FNC is slightly to the right on CNN. It has followed the RINO philosophy of moving as far to the left as possible without totally alienating conservatives.

If you want to delude yourself and keep watching go ahead. I'm sure Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes appreciate you as they laugh their way to the bank.

Haven’t seen more than 100 hours of it in the past decade but I cannot imagine that endless mortgage commercials where ‘INTEREST RATES HAVE CHANGED’ interspersed with perseveration over gary condit/rich dead woman in bermuda/brittany spears/indiana parking lot spankings/missing persons/dead michael jacksons/etc are a destructive force in our society. Were cartoons on his hit list also?

Sure was destructive to him in ‘98.

http://video.foxbusiness.com/v/1204934287001/steve-jobs-in-1998-on-the-imac-future-of-apple/

Fox, pure evil.

Then again, it fitted the need... sell.

Oh by the way, i’d be just as evil not to include what was said about him recently (shakes head, I don’t know how Neil lives with himself):

Well, my job is done here... and it only took 15 seconds.

Scrub away my lovies.

Before you do, video on that last one. (I have a hand drive and I know how to use it).

re_tail, thanks for playing.

A Tale of Two Companies

If you are like me you haven’t seen so much of a hoopla about someone’s passing since John Lennon.
And Jobs really was a lot of things to a lot of people. Family guy, an adopted child who wasn’t aborted, and many other things. But I also see a lesson in out of control government.

Most of you remember seeing a picture of Bill Clinton and Gates playing golf one weekend.

Naturally you assumed that Gates was being shaken down by Clinton for DNC money. Well Gates played golf but he didn’t play ball. Within weeks Reno’s justice department was filing an antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft.

One of the first things Bush did after he gave the military a pay raise was to stop this suit.

But as a result Microsoft fell behind a couple of years in innovation. This allowed Apple to take the lead, and their products still command a 50% or larger price premium as a result.

This has made Apple rich, but made mobile devices more costly to the masses.

Once again out of control government ends up costing everyone.

Businessmen are not philosophers and thinkers that writers and artists are (sometimes, not always.) Nothing to emulate, except financial success, which is so often a matter of luck, and in those two cases most certainly. Neither Jobs nor Gates can guide your children to riches. Maybe the super salesman Larry Ellison can.

Yeah, liberals hate the fact they lost their monopoly on TV news and no longer could tilt the views of people.

Fox did nothing but have one or two more real conservatives on the opinion shows and then just report the news straight.

How dare them?

Isaacson was the president of CNN NEWS for a very short and unsuccessful stint. Given that Fox ate his lunch, I might be dubious about this account, given that Jobs isn’t around to proof the galleys. Just sayin’.
